Jessica Simpson reveals in InStyle's November issue that her heart has been broken since her divorce, People reports
"I've had my heart broken since my divorce,"

"That's OK. I believe you fall in love more than once and get your heart broken more than once. Trust me, I have cried myself to sleep."

Simpson says she once felt like "the princess in the fairy tale - then reality came crashing in, and I learned that isn't always how life works."

Nowadays, Simpson says, "I am in complete control of my life"

The way Jessica put's it, she makes it sound like Nick was the one with the choke hold on her.

I'm personally tired of hearing that she finally has her independence. And I agree with Tasha, life isn't a bowl of cherries. It's disappointing that it took 27 years for someone to find that out.

I think the more she tells people she is in control of her life she may actually start to believing it herself!!

Ditto.

She is'nt trying to convince the world of it, she is trying to convince herself, like you said the more she says she is in control the more likely it is for her to believe it is true.

I cant get over the fact that she constantly acts as if Nick had her sheltered and controlled her every move. She needs to let it go and get over it.

Her extentions must be selling well or something. She seems to only be "in control" of her life when things are going well. Then, things crumble when she's faced with failure.

We all have bouts in life where we feel we have lost control of our lives and have to fight to gain it back. It's normal. I'm not sure where you are all getting the impression she's blaming Nick for "controlling her". It doesn't sound like that to me. If anything, it sounds like she's blaming herself.
