It's from an article in STAR awhile ago. Not totally reliable, but makes ya think. There's a discussion on fanchitchat MB about them, along with on the JJB. Vanessa is shady. Derek Jeter got rid of her because of it. She was after his money.

STAR Booooooooooo even joe himself is a better source than star. Give us a better source to prove your words. What i remember jess denied they where never friends

As much as some would like to believe this is true, we should remember that the Star is a less than stellar in its ability to report the truth.

Nick is a grown man. If he needs to "see thru" anything, I'm sure he do it by now. They aren't married, if he doesn't want Vanessa in his life, he wouldn't.

Ya know I keep hearing that Vanessa was after Jeter's money but my questions are

1. Why would Jeter go around saying Vanessa is a really great girl and Nick seems like a great guy, I hope they are happy together? Not only have I heard this from an interview on one of the entertainment shows, my husband said he has read it in a sports illustrated interview Jeter did.

and

2. Why did it take Jeter 3 years to figure out she's a golddigger? (that seems too long to figure that out, he's not dumb)

I think this story is all made up. JMO

Also, I do believe that Jessica cleared that rumor up on a radio interview that she did. She said she met Vanessa once on TRL and she was in no way "friends" with her and did not confide in her at all.

Also, let's not forget that Jessica not only had the time between the separation and when she filed for divorce (3 weeks later BTW) but the time from when she filed for divorce til the time the divorce was final to mend things with Nick. She chose not to. I am assuming that she is not completely controlled and that she made the choice not to on her own. Give the girl some credit!!
