Hello everyone,
My name is Monica. I’m 22 years old, and live in a small town in the eastern part of Norway. (That’s why my English isn’t perfect) I’ve actually been a member of NF for over a year, but I haven’t posted anything on the forum yet, but I come in here almost every day to get the latest info on Nick. :) The reason why I decided to introduce myself, and begin to post is that I heard resolution on my local radio station today :D I was on my way back home from work, and all of the sudden I heard Nick’s beautiful voice. Omg, I was so happy to hear that. I haven’t heard it on the big radio stations over here, so I really didn’t expect the local radio station to play it. That was a great moment for me. Resolution is one of my favorite Nick songs.
I’ve been a fan of Nick since the “Newlyweds” days, but it wasn’t until last year that I really got my eyes up for his music. He`s really a talented writer and singer :D and, of course, he`s hot *drool*
About month before Nick released “What’s left of me” in the US, my father died. I guess you go through many of the same emotions in a painful divorce as when you lose someone close to you. It was as if Nick had written down all my emotions and put them so perfect together in his songs. It was almost like i was listening to my diary. I got my friend, who was staying in North Carolina at the time, to mail me his album. I couldn’t wait until it got released over here. In a divorce, the other person isn’t really gone but he/she is in a way lost to you. I can only imagine the pain he felt when he saw his whole life fall apart in front of his eyes. He saw his dreams and hopes for the future being crushed, and I guess the worst part is the fact that he couldn’t do a damn thing about it but watch it happen. Even though I also saw my life fall apart, I still have my dreams and hopes for the future. I think that everything happens for a reason, and I’m really glad that Nick seams to have found a person that can give him all he needs and more  I guess he now has new dreams, and I think he has found a girl that shares the same vision for the future as he has. As for my own situation, it’s hard to find any explanation and reason what so ever to why my father died, but I still try to se the positive in things. I’m more able to enjoy everyday I spend with my family, and never take things for granted. I still keep my father close to my heart, and remember him as the best father in the world :) However, there are days when I feel like staying in bed and never get up. Those days, I put on nick album and he makes me feel all better. Resolution has become an important song for me, as it always remembers me to look forward and get my life back on track.
I’m sorry if this was a long entry. Had a lot on my mind, obviously
I really look forward to Nick’s next album. I know it’s going to be just as good as the last one :) I will, of course, post scans from the Norwegian mags. It`s not very often that they write about him, but it happens.
Thank you very much for a wonderful website with lots of news and fun stuff. Nick really has the best fans in the whole world
