yeppers! i got mine @ barnes and noble for $27, but amazon.com has it for like...$24, i think! :D

I had the original Gidget on VHS...but the darn VCR ate it... :cries: I do have Hawaii someplace, but I lost it in the move...and it has been ages since I have seen Rome...lol

Gidget is a teen beach movie from the late 50's - had 3 different actresses in the role of Gidget, the best (IMO) was Sandra Dee in the original - James Darren played Moondoggie (AKA Jeff). Gidget was a real 'tomboy' - but all her gal pals were into hookin a man - gidget ended up taking up surfing since her friends ditched her to go on their 'man hunts'.

only reason i did was cuz my mom and dad rented them when Best Buy had a video rental department - and they carried all 3 of the movies.

my mom always liked the gidget movies. anyway, the family channel used to do a gidget marathon every year and she and i would watch them together...it was a tradition. now i'm hooked on them... :D and i agree, miss rae, sandra dee was the best! lol..i used to have a crush on james darren (when i was like...7 :wub: )

LOL - I had a crush on him at one point - and it was before I saw Gidget.

I used to watch TJ Hooker because of Adrian Zmed - after I got a crush on him from watching Grease 2 - Then to see James Darren on Gidget - hello - that man was ancient :P

YAY - I found the set at the super WalMart today (and got it) It was a little more expensive than on WalMart.com (23 something) but when you factor in the shipping - I think it was probably still cheaper.
