Right, so here I am again, you can't get rid of me, lol. Well, here's another story I've yet to finish. ~Paige~
I groaned softly as Nick nudged.
?What?..? I mumbled, putting my head under his jacket.
?you should wake up.? he said oh so softly in my ear.
?Why?? I mumbled, still not fully awake.
?Cause where home.? he smiled as I shot up from my seat.
?What!?? I said sitting up and looking around, trying to adjust to my settings.
?Well its good to see you to babe.? he smiled as I locked eyes with him.
?You mean we can get out of my damn car and actually sleep in a bed?? I asked.
?yeah, come on. Its six and hopefully everyone is at home.? he said, stepping out the car and stretching. And lets just say I had a fine view. Finally, I snapped out of it and got out and stretched myself. Then I followed nick to the back of the car where he lifted out two of my suitcases.
?Well get your other boxes later?..come on I really want you to meet the guys.? he said as he started to head to torn down building. Okay, when I moved to L.A. I expected something?..well something that didn?t look like needed to be condemned. But then again, nick did warn me that he didn?t live in the prettiest of places??..
?So how do you like it so far?? he asked as we stepped into the elevator. It creaked?.then Nick hit it, and we were up.
?This thing is safe?? I asked, looking around.
?yeah?it holds us. That?s the only good thing I can say about it. So what do you think about the place?? he asked again, looking over at me.
?Well, its more than what I expected, but if it keeps you guys safe and provides you guys with shelter than I can?t really complain. Its kinda my new home too.?
?Exactly.? he smiled as the elevator and we stepped off the floor.
?so?..this is where you live eh?? I said looking around as nick fidgeted through his pocket.
?yep?.wait till you see the inside.? he smiled as he opened the door. I walked inside and lets just say I was surprised. Very. It was actually nice in here?.not cozy but a little redecorating could change that.
?You guys, I?m home!!? Nick yelled, then turned to me. ?Come on babe, I want you to meet the family.?
?All right.? I said giving him a short smile as he picked me up and took me toward the living room.

~Jeff~
?You guys Nick?s home.? I yelled as I walked into Justin?s room, where John and him were sitting there, attempting to catch a mouse.
?well I guess that this little guy can wait for later?.? Justin mumbled as all three of us walked into the living room.
?Well its about time you guys got out here. I want you guys to meet Paige??..Paige meet John and Jeff. I think you already know Justin.? Nick smiled as we walked into the living room. She turned around from the place she was looking at and then gave us a small smile. Now when Nick told me that she was cute?.he didn?t mention damn right sexy. In fact, he didn?t mention about pretty green eyes, big full lips, and one heck of a smile.
?hey.? she said, giving a little wave.
?hey.? all three of us said.
She looked up at Nick, who only shook his head.
?you guys aren?t acting all shy on me now, aren?t you??
?No?.sorry Paige. it?s a pleasure to meet you?.finally.? I said, sticking my hands out and shaking it. Then john proceeded to do the same and Justin gave her a hug.
?So?..A)where?s the bathroom, B)where?s the kitchen and C)where and the heck can I fall asleep at?? she asked as we all sat there in unision.
?Babe the bathrooms down the hall?.umm, as far as food goes?..?
?where ordering pizza? John cut him off.
?yeah and you can sleep in my room till we can futher think of sleeping arrangements.?
?Thanks see ya when I wake up. I?m exhausted.? she said, giving him a soft kiss on the lips and walking off toward the bathroom.
?Wow.? I said after a while.
?double wow.? John said
?down boys, down. Remember, she IS nick?s?..?
?yeah but?.damn.? I repeated shaking my head.
?and you called me crazy for going ga-ga over her.?
?yes but you didn?t mention that she was cute too.?
?Well I didn?t know ?till this Christmas. But she was cute before that too, you know.?
?I know but still.? John sucked in his breathe.
?Still?.? Nick said, looking over at him.
?Nothing.? he shook his head.
?yeah, nothing.? Nick said, then looked over at me.
?We are seriously going to have to do something about these rats??
?Were going to have to set traps. We can?t afford and exterminator?..? Justin said, looking over between us two.
?yeah.? I nodded, then said,
?you guys really like each other, eh??
?yeah, we do.?
?Well that?s good. Its about time I met the real Nick Lachey.?
He chuckled, then said,

I gave a sigh as I found Nick?s room. It really didn?t take any trouble at all??.A)the apartment was real small so I was narrowed down to two choices and B. his room smelt like him. And J, but I also forget that they roomied together. I fell back on his bed and feel into a heavinly bliss. I missed mattresses, I missed sleep, and I missed civilization. I quickly got under the covers and thought about nick and his room-mates. Justin was Justin?..so that was all good. John was?he was an interesting character that seemed pretty mellow, pretty loud, pretty cl[arse] clownish. And jeff?.oh lord the man had a good telephone voice but gosh darn. If I would known that he was THAT good looking I would of got with nick later on instead of earlier. I kinda chuckled cause, lets face it, I would never give up nick. Not after how long it took to get him. Then I smiled thinking about him?.his smile, his lips, his kiss??then something was moving under the covers. I slowly looked under the covers and came face to face with a browned eyed critter. Then, cause I didn?t know what else to do, I screamed. Oh hell, it was a freakin mouse, what else was I supposed to do. Then I shot out of Nick?s bed and didn?t make any haste to run into the living room, still screaming like an idiot.
?Baby what?s?woah, well hello.? Nick said as I jumped into his arms.
?there?s a?.a?..a..?
?A what?? Nick asked, concern in his eyes.
?There?s a freakin mouse in your room!! In your bed, and?.and?.and, it?s a mouse!? I screamed as both Justin, John, and Jeff walked into the living room.
?Is there a problem?? John asked as he looked at both Nick and me.
?Mouse. Our room.? Nick said, looking over at Justin.
?so you found the little monster. Well come on John, lets do our rightful duty and exterminate him.? Justin said as both him and John moved to the back of the house. Nick and Jeff looked at them, then at me before procedding to say,
?Sorry about that.?
I kinda gave a short laugh and shook my head.
?Its all right. It just scared me more than anything.? I said, slowly falling out of Nick?s arms.
?Hey?..I was just getting comfortable.? Nick exclaimed as he pulled me back to him. I giggled then looked over at Jeff.
?Well since I don?t feel so tired anymore what kind of pizza are ya ordering??
?Whatever you want?? Nick said looking down at me.
?Really?? I asked, looking up at him, then over to Jeff.
?Really.? he smiled.

I sighed as I heard my mom and Dominique argue downstairs.
?Who in the hell does your boy think he is? Taking Paige to California?.CALIFORNIA Cate? Now what in the hell am I supposed to do??
?Don?t blame all of this on my son. [I]Paige{I/} was the on who voluntarily checked out of her OWN college, not Nick?
?So that hellon of a boy probably influenced her to do so.?
?Influenced her. She probably wanted to get the hell away from here or better, away from you!? I heard my mom yell. Then it was silent.
?You don?t mean that, do you Cate?? I heard Dominique say after a while.
?Dom?.wake up and smell the coffee. Paige has been more happy with Nick than she has spending time with you. Listen, personally, I want to see what happens between the two. She?s in good hands??and its time she went and saw what the world has for her to offer.?
?How long?? Dominique say after a while.
?Two months tops. If she calls asking to come back, well let her. If she doesn?t then let her live. She?s smart Dom, she knows what she?s doing.?
?Right.? he sighed.
I shook my head and headed for my phone. I was guessing that Paige and Nick must?ve got in a couple of hours earlier. They needed to get a phone call.
?Hello.? a chippy voice on the other side of the line said.

?yeah how?d you know? Wait who is this??

We kind of sat in silence before she spoke up.

?bye paige.? I said hanging up the phone. Then I looked up at my mom.

I nodded.
?Well, I better start cooking that go away dinner. You?ll need all the food you can get before you go back to that lonely apartment.? I shot her a grateful smile as she started to walk out my room.

Me and Nick lost, it was a given I suppose. Paige was the logical one and we had to deal with it. Nothing new. So we started to practice for the gig. I really wanted to do something else for my girl, but when the majority votes it?s really nothing you can do. Soon Friday snuck up on us and we all were getting ready. Naturally Paige was in the bathroom, and naturally like a girl she was taking forever. How would?ve thought that a tomboy would turn out the way she did. Just comes to show how much you really don?t know about a person.
?Are you done in there yet?? John asked, and then walked toward us in the living room.

?Good thing the show starts an hour from now.? Nick said, leaning back in his chair.

After that day we became busy, busy, and busy. We had booked a thousand gigs before we left for Christmas, and now was the time to full-fill them all. Before we knew it Valentines Day was slowly creeping to us. We were now sitting in the living room where we were planning our next couple of gigs. Jeff was looking through our ?schedule book?, John was idly staring in space, and Justin was drawing?.something, and I was thinking of what to buy Paige with what money I did get from my paycheck.
?You guys we don?t have anything planned for Valentines Day.? Jeff said, breaking us all out of our thoughts.
?I kinda think that?s a good thing. I wanted to plan something special for Paige. It?d be the first Valentines day we had together.? I said, looking over at him.
?We can?t just not sing something for Valentines day though. I think we should do something??.I can get us booked at a local club or something. It?d be better than singing in the rain.? Jeff shrugged.
?I?m kinda with Nick on this one. You know, I just met Katrina and I kinda want this to be a relationship were it can actually be SOMETHING.? Justin said, looking up from his drawing.
?But then again we do need the extra money and if were lucky we?ll be spotted.? John added.

?But, Paige, would you rather risk all that for a romantic night out with Nick when that extra money could be used to paying the rent and we could actually use our paychecks for something we enjoyed.? John finished.
?Yeah aside from the fact that though that money will pay for the rent, we still gotta worry about other things like the electric, water, and heating bill.? I inputted.
?But Paige can spend any romantic night with you, same goes for you J.? Jeff added.
?Guys?? Paige started.
?Yes but not every night is Valentine?s Day.? I argued back. Justin nodded in approval.
?But this could be our break night. Would you be happy knowing that you wasted a whole night with your girl when you could of just gotten us signed.? John asked, looking over at me.
?You Guys?? Paige said again. We continued to ignore her.
?I?d rather be in the arms of my true love than living a life being lonely.? Justin stated, giving both John and Jeff a look.
?I agree.? I said.
?YOU GUYS!!? Paige screamed this time. We all looked at her.
?Jeff, why don?t you start calling up clubs telling them you?re available on Valentines Night.?
?Thank you god for blessing the world with someone like Paige.? Jeff said smiling at me, then getting up.

?Nick it doesn?t matter where I?m at on Valentines Day?.just as long as I?m spending it with you. John and Jeff are right, we COULD use the extra cash.? She said, giving me a quick kiss on my nose.

Soon we reached the club and the guys went backstage and got ready. I found my seat, my "reserved seat" (since Nick insisted) and waited for Katrina to come. Soon they were letting a lot of other people and there was still no sign of Katrina. I sighed. I knew how much it meant for Katrina to show, and last I talked she had said she was coming. I shrugged it off as the show began. The guys did really good. I don't think I ever seen them sing so powerfully. Then again, there were a lot more people here then there was on a regular basis. The show ended and that got a good enough applause. I waited patiently for them, and suddenly felt two cold hands cover my eyes.
"Don't even try it Nick." I smiled, tugging his hands off and looking up at him. He pouted as he picked my up, sat down, then placed me in his lap.
"how do you always know its me?" He asked, wrapping his arms around me.
"We don't know Nick, you always seem to do it. You can only [arse]ume." John replied sarcastically. Nick rolled his eyes, then turned to me.
"I gotcha you something."
"You did?" I smiled at him.
"Uh huh, but you gotta close your eyes."
"Why?"
:"Just trust me?"
"I do and now look at me. I'm a total wreck."
"Just close them." he smiled at me. I stuck my tongue out at him, but eventually closed my eyes. Then, a couple of seconds later, I felt something cold get slipped on my finger. I opened my eyes and looked down at my finger. I saw a sapphire ring and smiled at Nick.
"What's this?"
"Its called a promise ring."
"A promise ring?"
"yes a promise ring?"
"Why.....Nick, why did you...."
"Listen, its been a while since I told you this. I stopped because I thought I scare you away like the last time. but I love you Paige. I love everything about you, your smile, your laugh, your eyes, your lips. I want you to know that. I want you to know that even if I do get signed, that I'm here. I'll always be here. I was your friend before we went out, and you know, if we were able to just be friends again I'd be fine with that. I'd be fine because it means I would at least be able to see you everyday. I love you Paige, and I want you to know it."
I smiled at him as the tears poured down my face. Here I thought I'd have the worst day ever and it turned out to be one of the most romantic in my life. I wrapped my arms around his neck and placed my forehead on top of his.
"I love you too Lachey. More than you know." I smiled, then I kissed him. Not one of those sweet, innocent pecks that I give him everyday. It was my first real kiss, and it was everything I dreamed of it too be.
"Now I really wish we could of done this in a more romantic enviroment." Nick smiled at me. I smiled back and nudged him.
"You already know...." I began.
"I know." he smiled at me, and was about to kiss him again before Jeff said,
"all right we let you guys have your make-out session. Save the rest for later."
"Aww, stop being a spoil sport." I whined, looking over at Jeff. he shook his head.
"Not everyone has a valentine." he said, pointing toward Justin. I looked at him as he continued to stare at the door.
I looked at him, then back at Nick.
"I don't think she's coming." he mouthed.

The Big Break
Paige and Jeff View

After that we tried everything we could get our hands on. Mostly we sang at cheerleading camps for a bit of money, along with some clubs. We sang at parks, parties we knew, everywhere we could. Still, we hadn't come across an agent who liked what we did, or who we were. Now it was Sunday, and The Cowboys vs. The Bengals were on. This was the game me and Nick had been waiting weeks on end for, mainly because it was our favorite teams. We had everything, the beer, the potatoe chips, everything you would need for a football game. Little did we know that our plans would be interrupted.
"Guys get off your a&* and get dressed!!!" Paige yelled, running into the living room. We all looked at her, and returned our eyes to the TV. She rolled her eyes, then said,
"Seriously we gotta go."
"Could we talk about this after the game. You know, when I'll care about whatever it is your going to say." Nick said, looking over at her. She narrowed her eyes and turned off the TV.
"Five minutes and I'll leave you guys alone."
We all looked at each other and sighed.
"Fine." we urged. Paige was just as stubborn as Nick was, believe it or not. Sometimes it was either her way or the highway.
"Okay, I was talking with my co-worker, Tyler."
Nick rolled his eyes. He hated Tyler. in fact he loathed him. It was a known fact that Tyler liked Paige, and Paige was so into Nick that she barely gave Tyler a chance. They were friends, yes, but Paige wouldn't let anything else happen between the two.
"What does he want. A date?"
"I already told him no silly." Paige said, then turned to Justin.
"he got me, your never gonna believe, FIVE TICKETS TO BOYS TO MEN!!! FIVE. Him and his friends were gonna go, but they each had thier own thing to do. So now I have five tickets and were gonna go."
Justin sat up and asked,
"Are you serious. Those tickets are really, REALLY hard to get."
"I know, that's why we gotta go. Come on, if i'm willing to go out looking like this then you should go."
"Hell I'm game. Those tickets are hard to p[arse] by." John said getting up.
"Exactly." she smiled, then looked at me and Nick.
"So...." she asked.
"Well.....you know this is a hard game to come by. Its gonna be one of the games of the century, you go out and enjoy yourself." I replied. Nick nodded.
Paige looked at us bewildered, then said,
"Are you freakin serious. You guys love Boys to Men, and your going to stay for a dumb game?"
"Looks like it."
She thought about something, then walked over to Nick
"Nick.." she said in a softer tone.
"yeah...?" he asked as she sat on his lap.
"It'd make me really, really, really happy if you came. In fact, you'd make my day..." she began. Nick started to shake his head.
"Paige you know...you know I want too but......" he looked over at me for support.
"Don't cave in." I mouthed. He nodded.
"If you wanna you should. They'll play our song....you know how much I love our song." she said, kissing him on his neck in between each word. For a virgin, she was really doing well with the whole seduction thing,
"Paige..." Nick groaned. He closed his eyes and sighed. I knew he caved in.
"Fine, we'll go."
"Oh, you make me so happy." she perked, giving him a kiss on his cheek.
"This is why I love you." Nick groaned. I shook my head and turned the TV on.
"What are you doing?" Nick asked, getting up and turning it off.
"What do you mean?"
"Your going too."
"What? Now I wasn't the one who caved in, you were."
"So, I suffer, you suffer."
"No." I stubbornly said.
"Pwease Jeff, pwetty pwease with cherries on top. Come on, there was a time you said you do anything for me."
"No." I said, trying to hold my ground. She started to pout and.....da*& she was really convincing. I sighed and shook my head.
"No." I said again.

~Paige~
I smiled over at Jeff as we started to look for our seats.
"I don't believe you talked me into this." he mumbled as we found the fifth row.
"You know you wanted to go, you just need a little push."
"Whatever. If the Cowboys win you better run." jeff mumbled.
"I think YOUR the one who would be doing the running." Nick cut in. I looked over at the two and laughed. Sometimes the two of them togethere was too much for me. We started a little chit-chat, and soon quieted when the show started. It was great. And they sang me and Nick's song, I'll Make Love To You, even though we hadn't really "done it" yet. Quote unquote nick, "it expresses what its' gonna be like for our first time." I really just liked the lyric and content of the song, so it didn't matter to me. After the show, the guys started to talk. When the guys start to talk, all h-e-l-l is about to break loose.
"Hey Paige." John asked as we started to leave.
"What?"
"How bad would you like to meet the guys."
"oh that'd be great, but come on. We missed the meet and greet because of you guys so guess it wasn't meant to be."
"I wouldn't say all that." he smiled. I looked at the other four and they were smiling too.
"What are you guys up too?" I asked, looking at them,
"Nothing." they said in sync. That was warning one to let me know that they were going to do someting illegal. We started to head toward the back of the arena, and I pieced everything together.
"We are not sneaking in." I muttered.
"It wouldn't be sneaking if the guy lets us walk in." Justin said, looking over at me. I gave him a confused look as we all walked up to a very muscular guy in black.
"Nick." I mumbled, tugging on his shirt.
"Its all right, we got this." he smiled at me. I sighed as Jef started to talk.
"Do you think it'd be possible to let us in?" he asked the guy. He shook his head.
"you got a backstage p[arse]?"
"No."
"Then your not going in."
"What if I could.....bribe you in someway?"
The guys raised a brow, then continued to say,
"If your going to take your clothes off then hell no."
We all laughed and Jeff shook his head.
"We were thinking about singing." Nick continued on. The guy contemplated this, and the said,
"Go on."
"We'll sing a song from the guys, and if were good, you'll let us in."
"we'll see." The guy nodded.
"All right guys, just like we rehearsed." Jeff said as they all "warmed up". Then Nick began to sing, Yesterday. After they finished, the guy clapped his hands.
"You guys are good. And if I could, I'd let you in. but i'd be against policy, and I need this job, sorry."
The guys sighed, and Nick replied,
"Thanks anyways."
"No problem." The guy said. We turned around and started to walk off.
"Wait!!" we heard someone yell. We turned around and saw a guy running toward us.
"yeah?" John asked.
"I couldn't help but over hear you guys. You were great."
"Obviously not good enough. We didn't get in." Jeff shrugged.
"I think you guys have a real good blend together."
"I guess, what's it to you anyways?" Justin asked. The guy snickered, then replied,
"I happen to be a talent scout. The name's Paris. How would you guys like to try and get signed to a record label?" he asked, pulling a card out. All four guys looked at each other and smiled. </span>

Chapter 50
Decesions, Decesions
Drew and Nick View

~Nick~
We talked to Paris, got what we could figured out, and decided to meet that following Tuesday. Tuesday came and went and we booked our way to a studio to work on our demo. Paris also got us to open up for Montell Jordam down at the House of Blues. We were on fire and it seemed like nothing could bring us down, at least we hoped it was nothing. One day we were all just hanging around the house, Jeff and Justin were playing a video game and me and Paige were cleaning up the kitchen. That's when John came in.
"Guys!" he yelled. I think we all ignored him, me and Paige were having a sponge fight and Jeff and Justin could care less about the world.
"Seriously we need to talk." he repeated. We continuied to ignore him.
"Its about the group!" he yelled. We all stopped what we were doing and looked at him.
"What about the group?" Jeff asked. He took a seat and me and Paige came out of the kitchen.
"I'm thinking of quitting." he bluntly replied.

I looked at John, then Paige managed to say,
"What?"
"I wanna quit." John shrugged.
"You just wanna quit. After all you guys been through, after all that you guys are doing now, you wanna quit?" Paige asked.
"yeah." John repeated. Paige sighed.
"Why?" Jeff asked after a long period of silence.
"I don't think that...........singing isme. I've tried liking it for you guys sake but I thought about it. A lot. If we did make it big, I wouldn't like it. It wouldn't be my p[arse]ion, and I would be miserable. I'd leave the group and it'd be worse. So I concluded that I should leave now."
More silence followed afterward. Finally Justin spoke up.
"Well you should do what makes you happy." he said slowly,
"Acting makes me happy." John agreed.
"Then do it. I don't want to to hold this against you." Jeff sighed. John smiled.
"Thanks guys. I'm so nice that I'm moving out too."
"Your moving out?" Paige asked, placing her head on my shoulder.
"Just to be closer to the 'hot spots'. That way if you find a new member he doesn't have to worry about housing." John nodded.
"You found this house today?" I asked. He nodded.
"You've been thinking about this a lot, haven't you?" Jeff asked.
"yeah."
"well.......good luck"
"You to. We'll still stay in touch, right?"
"Your moving out of the house, not our lives." Paige smiled. He smiled back and sighed.
"I better start packing. You know, moving all the goods out while someone rolls in."
"Need help?" Jeff asked. John shook his head.
"I'm fine."
Jeff nodded as he started to move to the back of the house. After he left there was a long silence.
"He has a good point?" I asked after a while.
"What do you mean?" Paige asked as we both moved to the couch.
"We need to find a fourth member for Friday's show. You know anybody?"
"Well, there's Tyler....." she began.
"No!!" we all said at the same time. She laughed.
"Just kiddin."
"Nick has a point. We don't know anyone that 's a baritone." Jeff sighed. He pulled his head back and grunted in frustration. Justin nodded as Paige gave a weak smile.
"We could try it without a baritone."
"No. That's not our sound. I won't sing without a baritone." Jeff sighed. Paige nodded. I thought about this then smiled.
"What?" Justin asked.
"We need a baritone, I can give us a baritone."
"Who?" Paige asked.
"Remember choir cl[arse]. You and Drew did a recital...."
She smiled.
"Nick's right. Drew's perfect for the part."
"he is good." Justin added. Jeff smiled, but it quickly dissapeared.
"What?" I asked.
"Drew's in New York."
"Sooo......"
Paige nodded.
"Drew LOVES New York. Would he really leave it all for L.A."
I quieted. They were right. Drew loved New York almost as much as he loved Cincinatti.
"I'll call him tonight and see." I nodded.
"Do Nick. Cause if he doesn't agree, were screwed.

I had had one long day. Two fires, three labor's, and a dead dog. Don't ask why we got the dog, but we ended up taking it to the dog hospital anyways. I wanted to go in my bed and sleep for the rest of my life. hell I didn't even have it in me to piss right now. I just wanted to sleep and sleep, and did I mention sleep. I changed out of my uniform and dragged myself to my room and fell on my bed. I was expecting to go to sleep when..........my phone rang.
"hello," I mumbled into my phone, I had the urge of killing whoever it was on the other end but decided to just hear them out.
"Hello? Drew?"
"yeah, this is him."
"Drew, its Nick."
"Hey Nick....what do you want?" I couldn't hate my brother as much as I did right now.
"Well, how was your day to begin with."
"Great. I had the [freak]in' busiest day of my life and now I'm tired. And just when I was about to get the little amount of sleep I could, you call and wake me up again. Its' just been so dandy, my day." I replied sarcastically.
"I guess this is a sign to call you later."
"yeah, in fact its a WARNING to call me back later." I replied.
"Fine, I'll call you back later. Good sleeping bro."
"yeah, bye." i replied, hanging up the phone. Then I tugged the cord out of the wall and fell into a deep slumber of sleep.

When I woke up the next day, it was one in the afternoon. The first time in weeks I had sleeped in. I got up, used the bathroom, re-plugged the phone, and decided to call my brother. He sounded urgent to talk on the phone with me. After a couple of rings a female voice picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Howdy stranger."
"Your from the middle west not the west drew."
"how do you always know its me?"
"Your girlfriend told me that being a cowboy was your new greeting lately. Though I thought you grew out of that after the 3rd grade."
"Hardy har har. Very funny." I replied sarcastically.
"I know." she said in what I could tell was a grin.
"No honestly, how do you talk to my girlfriend more than I do again?"
"I'm her best friend......enough said."
"Right...." I replied, then got back to the initial reason why I called.
"So, is my brother around?"
"Which one, Justin or Nick?"
"The biological one."
"Nick."
"I said the biological one, not the dumb one." Paige laughed.
"You need to stop the hate and bring the love."
"I know, that;s why I called him a dummy instead of a lard head." I chuckled. I heard Paige sigh, then reply,
"Well, he's taking a shower so I'll let him call you back."
"Go and get him"
"Drew, are you aware that he'll be naked?"
"Nothing you haven't seen before." I snorted.
Paige smacked in mock distress, then answered,
"I told Nick to keep that on the DL. Always blabbing that big mouth of his."
This time I laughed.
"Right, just tell him I'll call him back."
There was silence on the other line.
"Paige?" I asked again. "Hold on Drew, I'm going to give the phone to Nick. Talk to you later."
"All right." I replied as I heard my brother pick up the line.
"'ello"
"So she went in the shower and got ya."
This made Nick chuckle, then reply,
"I tried getting her in there with me earlier but she declined. Actually, I just got out."
"Right. so what did you need me for?"
there was silence on the other end, then Nick spoke up,
"I need to ask you something."
"All right."
"how much do you love NY"
"I like it. I like my job, my friends, my life.....why?"
"John left the group."
I fell silent.
"Why?" I asked after a while.
"He choose acting over singing."
"Wow. That sucks."
"Yeah. Were in a runt Drew. We have a show this Friday, and were recording a demo the day afterward."
"So.....why are you telling me this?"
"We need a baritone Drew. Your a baritone Drew, a damn good one."
"Your not.....suggesting?" I kinda fell silent.
"We need to know Drew. New York or L.A. If its L.A. I can leave tonight so we can drive out here by Thursday. If its New York we'll live you alone, but were screwed."
I nodded. I knew what he meant. A whole lot of pressure was weighing on my decesion. I sucked in my breathe and replied.
"I'll do it. If I don't like it I'll move back out here, but I'll try it. Its not like it'd hurt me."
I could see Nick smiling by his answer.
"thanks Drew, I owe you a lot. Pick me up tonight at eight at the airport. See ya then."
"Bye." I replied, hanging up the phone. I stared at it and thought for a while. Was what I did wrong? Did I make the wrong decesion? I can only wait and pray for the best.

Starting Anew
Paige/Drew View

~Paige~
Nick left on Monday night. He called when he got there and before he left to drive out here. I had a pretty smooth two days without him. I got paid a couple of bucks,and got a call claiming that I was past part one in possibly getting a small part in a movie. Thursday came and I was off from both school and work. Thank god cause balancing the two was too much for me. So, after I had finished studying the phone rang. I was [arse]uming that it was Nick or Drew but was suprised to hear it was Lea.
"Hey Lea, how ya doing?" I asked as I muted the soap opera I was watching.
"Not so good."
"What happened?"
"Have you heard from Drew?"
I laughed.
"What?"
"Yeah, we talked last night actually."
There was silence.
"how is that possible? When I call his house it tells me the line is disconnected."
I kinda had a shock silence for a minute, then contineud to say,
"Well becaue he isn't at home. he's probably in Neveda right now."
"Why would he be in Nevada."
Now I knew there was something wrong.
"He didn't tell you?" I asked.
"Tell me what?"
"He's moving out here with me and Nick, Jeff and J. he's going be in the group since John left."
There was a long period of silence. Then Lea spoke up.
"So he's driving out to you guys."
"him and Nick. Suprised he didn't call you and tell you though."
"yeah, me too."
"Maybe he forgot. We did tell him that Monday afternoon and he did leave that Tuesday."
"Still....he somehow managed to call you."
"Well.....I needed re[arse]urance to make sure they didn't kill themselves driving down roads hella fast." I tried making a joke of it but it obviously wasn't working.
"What about me? I thought he had gotten murdered or something. He could've called."
I sighed and shrugged.
"I don't know Lea, that's kinda between you and him."
"It sure is. You know, I knew after a while this long distance thing wouldn't work out like I wanted it too."
"What do you mean Lea."
"I mean, we've just been drifting lately. I think we need to break up."
"Lea don't do that. he doesn't need to come out here for that, and besides that you love him."
"True, but if were really meant to be our time will come later. Later is not now."
I sighed.
"Do what you feel is right."
"I will. Talk to you later."
"Ditto. Bye."
I hung up the phone and un-muted the TV. Hopefully the right decesion wouldn't hurt either of them in the process.

~Drew~
I looked at the apartment as me and Nick stepped out of the car.
"Beaty ain't it?" Nick asked, coming beside me.
"No, in fact it looks like [bad word]. Paige actually tolerates this."
"She knows it keeps a roof under her head. It does get adjusting too, and pretty soon were moving out anyways so.....yeah."
"Right." I said as I grabbed my bags and followed him up the stairs.
"What the hell is wrong with your elevator?" I asked as we stepped out if it, moments later, walking to another section of this foreign place.
"Who knows, who cares. It works. Management sucks so you gotta get used to it." Nick shrugged as we stopped in front of a door.
"You ready for this."
"More ready than I have been for the past couple of days."
"All right." he said opening the door. I had to admit, the inside looked way better than the outside.
"Wow, its actually nice in here." I remarked. Nick laughed.
"Paige did a bit of remodeling. We all spent a whole weekend singing and painting the place."
"Its nice." I said placing my bags down. Nick nodded, then looked around.
"I'll be back." He said after a while, walking to another section of the house. I looked around and noticed things. You could tell that Paige had remodeled the place, it had her written all over it. I stopped short when I heard a squeal, and rushed off toward the direction Nick went. Of course I wish I hadn't because then I wouldn't have to see my brother and Paige making out in the kitchen.
"Oh please, save it 'till after dinner." I replied sarcastically. Paige pulled away from Nick and looked over his shoulder.
"Andy it is you!!" she smiled, letting go of Nick and walking over to hug me.
"What I tell you about calling me that?" I snorted, pulling away from her.
"Not to do it, but I still do anyways."
"couldn't tell." I mumbled as Nick walked up and wrapped his arms around her . I looked at the two, then replied,
"Never thought I'd be seeing you two make out but I guess that's just the wierd things that life throws at you."
"Isn't it though." Paige replied looking up at Nick.
"I'm glad it did. It makes my day a whole lot better." he smiled back before bending down and kissing her.
"I know when I'm not wanted, I think I'll just leave."
The two didn't hear me so I shrugged and started to look for a phone. When I found one in what looked like the living room I made a quick dash to call Lea. I missed hearing her voice and I really wanted to suprise her.
"Hello."
"Hey hunny bunny."
"I'm not in the mood for goofing today."
"Really? Well, okay. Anyways, guess where I'm at."
"Hmmm.......I don't know, L.A."
I looked at the phone for a while. then asked,
"how'd you know that."
"Wild guess."
"Did Paige tell you."
"Yeah."
"You guys do talk on the phone too much,"
"She told me because you weren't picking up your phone this morning. You know, the same Thurday morning, every week where we talk to each other."
I slapped my forehead. I was in some deep [bad word].
"I was going to-"
"Let me continue." she cut me off. I sighed.
"I think its time we broke up."
"What? Why?"
"Because this long distance thing isn't going to work. Now your even farther away from me. I love you Drew but we need time apart. I want to see diffrent people, and you need to see diffrent people. If were meant to be then we'll come back together."
I didn't know what to do. The best thing that was once in my life was gone.
"You mean that."
"I do."
"Then I'll do what makes you happy."
"This makes me happy Drew."
"All right then Bye. I still love you, you know."
"I know, I love you too."
"Well, bye. Talk to you later, right?"
"Right." she said, hanging up the phone. I stared at mine and slowly hung it up. It happened so fast, I didn't know how to react. Just then Nick decided to prance into the room, smiling like the biggest idiot I know.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"She's gone." I replied getting up and walking toward the back of the house. Right now all I wanted to be is alone.

~Paige~
I started to add the bell pepper and onion to the spagetti sauce I was making when I heard Nick walk in.
"What is it that you want now? Dinner ain't gonna be ready for another twenty minutes." I said turning around and facing him.
"I know that, you told me two minutes ago." he smiled at me. I smiled back and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Then why does it seem you forgot since then."
"because I forget everything when I'm around you." he whispered, leaning in and kissing me. And boy did it hit the spot. I didn't want to let it go, but I knew if I didn't I'd burn our dinner and I didn't have the money to just go and burn our dinner. So eventually I pulled away from him even though it was obvious he didn't want me too.
"why'd you do that?" he whined, moving his kisses futher down my cheek to my neck.
"Cause we gotta eat and pasta doesn't cook itself."
He nodded and pulled away from me.
"So why is it you really did come in here?" I asked. The happy expression on his face changed to a concerned one.
"You know anything about Lea and Drew?"
"Why?" I asked, stirring the sauce and checking the pasta at the same time.
"Cause he was just talking about some girls being gone. I'm [arse]uming the girl to be Lea." I sighed.
"so she went through it."
"huh?"
"She was going to break up with him. Obviously she did."
Nick sighed.
"that sucks."
I nodded.
"I know. Where's drew?"
"I think he went in the bathroom."
"All right. Check the pasta, stir the sauce for a couple of minutes and then turn that burner off. I'll go and talk to Drew."
"Why can't I talk to Drew and you finish cooking?"
"your gonna have to learn to cook eventually." I winked at him, walking out of the kitchen.

I knocked on the bathroom door and asked,
"Drew?"
"If your Nick then leave me the hell alone."
"Do I sound like Nick?" I asked walking in the bathroom and closing the door.
"No." he said, giving me a slight smile.
"You okay?"
"I'm all right."
"But you aren't okay." I replied. He sighed.

"No you aren't, if it wasn't for me then this would've never happened."
"Yes it would have. It just happened sooner rather than later."
I nodded and looked around.
"Well, I know that you didn't get the best welcome-to-our-house gift..."
"yeah, seeing you and my brother making out really did something for me." he replied sarcastically.
"I'm sure it did." I laughed. He laughed along with me, then asked,
"So you really dated him."
"Yeah, I really dated him."
"And you got your first real kiss and everything."
"Yeah." I kinda replied in a sighing way. he laughed.
"You really are in love, huh?"
"Yeah, I guess I am. At first I wasn't sure what you guys meant about wanting to be around that person all the time but now I know."
"He loves you too. You know that week right after Valenties Day he called me up and we spent half the night talking about you. Its funny 'cause he starts getting this funny looking smile on his face and he just startes rambling. I'm glad for you guys, you deserve it."
I smiled at him, then got up.
"How about we head out. I left Nick in there with the food."
"By now it should be burned." Drew laughed.
"Oh shut-up." I replied rolling my eyes.
"all right, All right. let me just wash my hands real quick." He smiled, turning around and turning on the water.
"Hey, you guys are out of soap."
"look in the bathtub, that's most likely where it is."
"All right." he replied, slightly opening the shower curtain and grabbing the soap.
"Ummm.........Paige?"
"yeah." I said turning around.
"Do you guys have mushy soap that happens to move?"
"No......" I said slowly.
"Then what the....?" he asked pulling his arm out.
"Drew...." I said shakily. I was trying all I had to not scream. he looked down at his hand and screeched. It wasn't a manly scream either, but a high-girly screech. Then I screamed and he dropped the mouse and we both ran out the room.

~Drew~
All right I had signed on to moving out here, Nick didn't mention anything about a pest problem.
"What in the hell?" I heard Nick ask, as him and two other guys walked out of the kitchen.
"There is a huge [arse] mouse in there!" Paige screamed, jumping up and down.
"Oh, so that's where Otis went?"
I looked over at the familiar voice and realized it was Justin.
"Its wierd that you name mice. Especially before you killl them." Paige muttered. Justin shrugged, then looked over at me.
"Hey Drew, watcha doing here?"
"I was washing my hands until I came upon your buddy Otis. Now what is this mouse/pest problem. I don't do mice man, its gross."
Nick laughed and Paige hit him.
"Ow." he pouted looking at her. She shook her head and turned to me.
"Justin will kill him. Nothing to worry about."
"Right." I said, looking over at the guy between Nick and Justin.
"I'm Jeff, welcome to our home." he smiled at me. I nodded.
"Nice to meet you Jeff, but this isn't the welcome I had in mind. "

From Better to Worse

Pretty soon me and Drew got better aquainted, and then we were on a role again. We did the gig at the House of Blues which was great. Drew was a good baritone, when I ever had the money I really was going to have to pay Nick back for the idea. Or Paige. Either one of the two, I can still see them being together when I finally hit the jackpot. Anyways, now we were in the studio recording. We had decided on a Boys II Men song and a Take 5 song. We didn't really know what else to record, and since we already knew the lyrics to those songs it just made more sense. Halfway in, Paige walked in not looking so hot.
"hey Paige, what's up?" I asked as our break started. She looked up at me and sighed.
"Nothing at all....where's Nick?"
"He went to the bano real quick."
She smirked and shook her head.
"all right."
"All right." I smiled, then turned to Drew.
"What's up with her?" I mouthed. He shrugged. I looked at Justin and he did the same. I sighed as Nick walked in. He noticed Paige and walked toward her.
"Hey babe, what's up?"
"The world is crumbling apart." she muttered, placing her hands in her head. Nick looked at us and we all shrugged. He sighed and took a seat beside her.
"Mind telling us why the world is crumbling apart?" he whispered toward her. She shrugged.
"I don't wanna talk about it."
"All right." he said. They were quiet for a few, then she softly replied.
"Well, I do but not in front of the guys."
"Okay then, tell me later. We have to finish this demo, ya know."
"yeah, I know." she sighed, then gave him a quick sigh.
"I gotta go anyways, got a ton of school work to do."
"All right then, talk to you later."
"Bye" she said softly kissing him and walking off.

The rest of the day went pretty smoothly, we finished our songs and Paris was going to be sending them off to a bunch of record labels. We went home and I immediatly went searching for Paige. I just couldn't help but think what could be wrong with her. I walked to our room and saw her on our bed, reading a book. A thick [arse] book, the more I looked at it.
"knock, knock." I softly said, taking her smile as a que to walk in.
"Hey." she softly said as I took a seat beside her. We kind of sat in silence before she replied,
"how the recording go?"
"good, Paris is going to send the demo to a number of record labels so yeah."
"Cool." she said. I bit my lip. We never had an uncomfortable silence before, and I didn't like it. She bookmarked her book, sat it on the ground then rested her head on my thigh.
"What's wrong babe, you-" I began but she cut me off with a kiss. A kiss, I must admit, wasn't so bad either. When we pulled away I smiled.
"What was that for?"
"I love you." she said, again placing her head on my leg. I held my smile and whispered,
"I love you too. With all my heart."
After that we kind of just gazed at each other in a silent goofy happiness. Then she spoke up,
"My dad came to the campus today."
My smile sort of wavered. She continued.
"He's coming here, to the apartment tomorrow for dinner. He wants to know how well I'm doing, and he wants to talk to you."
This time my smile disappeared.
"Is he mad?"
She nodded.
"He's pissed to the third degree. YOu don't want to see him when he's pissed."
"I know."
We were silent again.
"He doesn't think I'm good enough for you, does he?"
She sat up and shook her head.
"I don't care what he thinks. I love you and you love me. That's all that matters."
"But he does, doesn't he?"
She nodded.
"I'm not you know." I said softly after a while.
"Don't say that. You've been there for me through everything. I can't even think of a time when you weren't there for me. I don't care what anyone thinks, I love you. Love is something you don't find easy in life, and I found you way young in life. I'm not going to let that go, okay. Trust me, screw what my dad thinks. He'll come and everything will be all right."
She laid back down and grabbed my hand.
"Don't say things like that, okay. Your the best thing that has ever happened in my life."
I smiled and squeezed her hand.
"Ditto." I said, then kissed her forehead.
"Let's go torture your brother." she said after a while.
I smiled as she got up.
"Lets, he hasn't got a good beating in a long time."
"oh shut-up." she smiled, pulling me out of the room.

Well, I don't know..what do you think? I just want to add so I can get to the part where I know what I'm doing but yeah, this part is making it hard, lol :P :D

I looked over at Nick who was continuosly cracking his knuckles.
"Are you all right?" I asked, lightly touching his arm. He looked down at me and smiled.
"I'm fine, just a bit nervous."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure." he smiled, looked back over at the TV.
"All right." she said as she got up and headed toward the kitchen. She was nervous on how this dinner would begin....or end. She smoothed out her skirt again and flipped over the grilling chicken. For this dinner the guys had went out to buy chicken and shrimp, fried rice, and whatever else they thought would be suitable for the dinner.

~All right, sorry to cut short but I've been thinking, and I really don't want to finish this story. Had big plans for it but can't seem to be able to finish this. I looked back at it and it was poorly written and though I have a good plot, I la-le-gag while I write. Would any of you mind terribly if I just stopped with this story all together?~
