Me either,... since I tend to tell the truth. Unlike some people,... I don't feel the need to constantly "compliment every part of her being" simply because she is dating Nick.

I've always liked Vanessa. Way before she was with Nick. I thought she was very charming when she won Miss Teen USA. When she and Nick started dating, it was putting two good things together, like chocolate and milk.
I also find it admirable that she is an independent articulate and hard working female who who is able to balance her professional and personal life.

I was speaking for myself. If you include yourself in the group that constantly feels the need to compliment her without question then yes, I can see how you would take offense.
Anymore, no matter what happens, Nick is always the victim and now V is being dogged. People create these elaborate conspiracy theories how Jess, Joe, Perez, and every other media type who says something negative must have a grudge against the two! How Joe must be paying Perez for bad V press,...questioning why Joe is at a party as if Nick and V were the only people qualified to be there. Or, they portray Jess as some sad jealous ex who is still sitting at home longing for Nick waiting for him to call and totally jealous that V is with him. haha I say get real. The girl moved on a long time ago and is doing fine and appears to be very happy.
As Rae said before, not everyone likes V, and not everyone thinks she is the best choice for Nick. So what's the problem? Maybe we simply see something you don't and aren't afraid to say it.
You can like Nick and not like the way he is acting. You can like Nick and not like his choice in g/f's. You can like Nick and not like the way he is representing himself in the press. You can like Nick yet think he needs to move on.
I'm not gonna say all these nice things about V just to flip & tear her apart when she becomes his ex as some did with Jess.
albertroh, just like you I've always liked Vanessa way before she and Nick hooked up. She is the reason I watch TRL. And because I love Nick as well, it is such joy to see them together. I love that they are so unaffected by all the ugly rumors about them and are living their lives as normal as possible. I wish them happiness and everlasting love. :cool:

We didn't know each other before Nick and Jess split so let me make you aware of the fact that I didn't like Jessica before the ring went on her finger and I don't care for her now that the ring is off her finger so my feelings for her are no different than they were before the wedding. I am sure a few others feel the same. You cannot assume that we all loved Jessica when she was Nick's wife and now that they are divorced we all turned on her. Actually, if I am not mistaken, most of the poeple that I have gotten to know on here didn't like her before or during the marriage. I agree with you whole heartedly (trust me on this) that you can like Nick and not like his girlfriend or the way he carries himself in the press and I will agree that some people on this board take it too far (seriously) as far as the conspiracy theories but Just because you do like his girlfriend and appreciate the way he handles himself in the press doesn't mean you are lying or kissing Nick's ass. Also, it would be nice for "some people" to emphasise more of the things that they do like about Nick and not dwell on the negative. I NEVER liked Jessica. I tried to watch Newlyweds but I couldn't make it past the first episode. She was just too selfish and spoiled. I couldn't understand then, and I don't understand now how someone is capable of going through life knowing that they have major character flaws but do nothing to fix those flaws.
I couldn't stand Jessica even before she married Nick. I felt she was always trying to be someone else. She copied sooooo many of Britney's costumes (like Britney's flame costume from the Oops tour and Britney's outfits from Rolling Stone) but could never be the performer Britney was. She tried to sing like Christina but couldn't be the vocalist that Christina was. She was always in their shadow but instead of going out and doing something different she just copied them(badly). When Britney and Justin were together, I honestly felt that Jessica was using Nick so that she could try to gain the popularity B &J had together. When they got married I scoffed at the fact that she let MTV film their wedding, something as intimate as a wedding she was willing to put a price on. When Nick married Jessica, I called him a sucker. I'm happy he got out of a bad situation.

I don't think it's anyone's business to know what's best for Nick. Nick's old enough to know what's best for him.

Everything she has done in her life was/is for attention. She wanted to be super rich and she wanted to be super famous, so she did whatever it took to get there - whether it was pushing her virginity, selling out her marriage or posing half naked on the cover of a magazine (after claiming to be a Christian role model for young girls - don't even get me started on that!). Anything to keep herself in the spotlight.
The first time I watched NW's I was embarassed for her. I never understood how Nick could like, let alone marry, someone who was so selfish, spoiled and dimwitted.... someone who constantly needed attention and couldn't do anything w/o mommy and daddy stepping in. Someone who was so wrapped up in herself and whose career was more important than her own husband.
I was embarrased for her ignorant comments and totally immature behavior - She whined about everything from doing laundry to walking in heels. She was constantantly burping, farting and being completely unladylike. She cried over stupid things like having to fix her own hair. :rolleyes:
The girl is - and has always been - spoiled. Very spoiled. That's not an attractive quality to me.
She gave Nick a second chance when she left him. Atleast I'm thankful to her for that.
