Over-hyped, over-exposed but mercifully not over here much. Reality couple Nick Lachey and Jessica Ohmigosh-is-that-a-camera Simpson no longer feel like newlyweds.
Disaster. After two years of filming, sorry, marriage, surely the Newlyweds reality show is based on the premis that they are, er, just married?
But don’t worry. The buff and boring Nick with his Barbie doll tumble-haired princess in tow, have come up with the perfect wheeze to keep their programme format, sorry, marriage fresh.
Returning to where it all began, the ditzy duo revisited the Riverbend Church in Austin, Texas, where they wed two years ago to renew their vows.
Needless to say, this intimate, meaningful and profound ceremony was conducted in strict privacy.
Of course, family and friends were banned but NOT a full MTV camera crew.
Well, we don’t want that good-looking second cousin Sarah to steal a second of the limelight, do we?
Simpson's father Joe says, "They just wanted to go back to where it all began."
If only it were that easy.
