An: I know it's kinda late but I didn't get a chance to finish typing it. I hope you guys enjoy it though and please review!



~ Father’s Day Story ~

~ June 21st 2007 ~

“Come on honey! Push! Push! “Nick Lachey encouraged his wife, Jessica Simpson Lachey who was in labor and about to give birth.
“You’re almost there, Mrs. Lachey,” Dr. Ruthie said. “Just one more push. So Jessica gave another push and then she heard a faint cry. “The baby is out!” Jessica sighed and lied back down. “And it’s a girl.” Dr. Ruthie gave the baby to the nurse and the nurse cleaned it up and wrapped her up in a towel. Then she handed the baby to Nick who was beaming with pride.
“She’s beautiful,” Nick said softly. The baby stared at Nick with its blue eyes that she had gotten from her daddy. He brought the baby over to Jessica.
“She has your blue eyes,” Jessica said.
“And your blonde hair,” Nick said. He kissed his wife’s forehead and handed the baby over to her. Then they shared a long p[arse]ionate kiss.
“What are you guys gonna call her?” Dr. Ruthie asked.
“We’re gonna call her, Claire Samantha Lachey.”

~ A year later: 2008 ~ (1 year old)

Nick was playing with little Claire when all of a sudden….
“Dada!” Claire shouted. Nick could believe his ears.
“What was that princess?” Nick asked.
“Dada!” Claire repeated. Nick felt as if he finally won a Grammy but this was much bigger. His baby girl just called him, dada.
“Jess, Jess, come here!” Nick shouted within a few minutes, Jessica came running into the room.
“What is it honey? Did Claire fall or something?” Jessica said who was almost out of breath.
“Claire just called me dada!” Nick said excitedly.
“She did?!” Jessica said scooping up her daughter.
“Yes she did. Claire, say what you just said a few seconds ago,” Nick said to Claire. Sneaky Claire decided to play a trick on her daddy to make fun of him so she decided not to say anything so she smiled and kept quiet.
“Nick, did she really say ‘dada’?† Jessica asked questioningly.
“Yes she did!” Nick said. “Come on Claibie, who am I?” Claire still kept quiet and smiled. Jessica stared at Nick weirdly.
“Nick, I think you’re hallucinating,” Jessica said.
“No Jess! She really did say Dada! She’s just making her dada look foolish in front of mama,” Nick said. Claire giggled. Nick took her from Jessica’s arms and swung her like an airplane. Claire, then, felt her daddy was humiliated enough.
“Dada,” she said. Nick smiled from ear to ear.
“Did you hear that, Jess?”
“Yes I did. She spoke her 1st word and she called you, dada,” Jessica said smiling.
“Oh Jess! This is the happiest day of my life,” Nick said taking his 2 girls in his arms. “Oh well besides our wedding day of course and the day I met you and the day you kissed me and…” Nick was silenced by Claire putting her little finger over his mouth.
I think we both get it Nick,” Jessica said with a smile. “I think Claire is definitely Daddy’s little girl.”

~ 3 years later: 2011 ~ (4 years old)
Nick was tucking in Claire into bed one night. This was a nightly basis. Nick and Jessica alternated on nights, tucking Claire in. It had been a nightly operation even after their 2nd child, a boy, Ian Richard Lachey was born. Though it changed a bit, after 98 degrees decided to get back together and Jessica ended her career.
“Daddy, can you tell me, a bedtime story?” Claire asked.
“Sure princess. What do you want me to read to you?” Nick asked walking over to Claire’s little book shelf.
“Um…Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” Claire said.
“Alright,” Nick said picking up the book. He sat down on the bed and began reading to her.
“So Snow White decided to clean up the cottage with the help of her animal friends,” Claire read.
“Did you just read that whole sentence?” Nick asked surprised.
“Uh huh.”
“Wow. How did you learn how to read?”
“I don’t know really. I guess I just taught myself.”
“Well then, why not you read to me the entire book for a change?”
“Ok but only if you promise to sing to me and help me with the big words.”
“Alright.” So Claire began finishing the entire book. Nick helped her a bit with the words she couldn’t pronounce right. Then he sang her to sleep.

~ A year later: 2012 ~ (5 years old)
It was the 1st day of Kindergarten for little Claire. Nick and Jessica were walking with her to her cl[arse]room. Claire looked a bit nervous and scared.
“Daddy, I don’t feel good,” Claire said.
“Awe…princess. I know you are scared but you are gonna make a lot of new friends,” Nick said kneeling down and facing his daughter.
“You are also gonna play games and sing songs,” Jessica added who was carrying Skyler.
“Yeah. Besides you are gonna have a lot of fun, you won’t even want to come home,” Nick said.
“Ok,” Claire said with a small smile.
“Well have fun and behave well and don’t get into fights and do whatever your teacher tells you to do,” Nick said and kissed his daughter’s forehead.
“Mommy and Daddy love you very much,” Jessica said hugging her daughter. “You be a good a girl ok?”
“I will.” Claire slowly walked towards her cl[arse]room by herself. Before she went in, she waved good bye to her parents.

~ 2013: Summer ~ ( 6 years old)
Nick and Claire were in the park one day. Nick was teaching Claire how to ride a bike without training wheels.
“Alright sweetie, remember what I told you, just keep peddling and hold onto the handles and when stopping, remember to hit the brakes,” Nick instructed.
“Ok. But if I fall, will you catch me?”
“I promise I’ll catch you,” Nick said.
“Ok. Here I go,” Claire said. Nick slowly let go and Claire steadily began riding her bike by herself. “Wow I’m really riding by myself.”
“Yes you are sweetie,” Nick said walking beside her. “Remember to hit the brakes when you want to stop.”
“Ok.” So Connie continued riding slowly and carefully. She started to speed up a bit but still remained careful. Then she stopped by hitting the brakes.
“How was that daddy?”
“That was perfect,” Nick said proudly.

~ 2 years later: Christmas 2015 ~ (8 years old)
Nick and Jessica were sitting in the front row of an auditorium where Claire was dancing the lead of Clara in the ballet, ‘The Nutcracker’. Along with them watching the show were close family relatives.
“She looks so beautiful and graceful dancing,” Jessica said as their daughter danced onstage.
“Yeah. She got all that star-performance genes from you,” said Nick.
“I think she got it from the both of us,” Jessica said. Later the performance was over and there was a curtain call where the whole cast took a bow. The entire audience gave a huge applause and threw bouquets of flowers to the stage. Obviously, the entire Lachey – Simpson family clan gave the loudest standing ovation for their little ballerina. After that, Nick and Jessica went to meet Claire backstage. “You were great sweetheart.”
“Thank you,” Claire said who was beaming with a pride.
“Mom and I are very proud of you,” Nick said giving his daughter a warm hug. “You certainly wowed the whole crowd tonight.”

~ 6 years later: 2021 ~ (14 years old)
“Mom, Dad, guess what?!” 14-year-old Claire Lachey came rushing into the living room. Her parents were cuddling on the couch.
“What is it honey?” Jessica asked.
“Mark Webb asked me out on a date tonight! We’re going to the movies!” Connie said excitedly. Both parents sat up.
“Mark asked you out?” Nick asked.
“The boy whose name you doodle in your math notebook and surround with heart shapes?” Jessica added.
“Uh huh. He’s taking me to the movies tonight! Can I please go?” Claire said giving the puppy dog face. Jessica looked at Nick. Nick sighed.
“Alright. Remember your curfew is at 10 p.m.”
“Ok.”

~ 3 years later: 2024 ~ (17 years old)
17-year-old Claire was now getting ready for the senior prom. Her boyfriend of 3 years, Mark Webb was her date. She was in her room getting ready. Her blonde hair was in loose curls and she was wearing a pink dress. It was a tight corset with a long poofy skirt. Jessica was doing her make-up.
“There all done,” Jessica said with a smile. Then Claire looked in the mirror.
“Perfect. Thanks mom,” Claire said.
“Your welcome.” Then she put on her crystal open-toed shoes. “Now lets go downstairs and show daddy.” So they went downstairs to Nick who was reading the newspaper.
“Daddy?” Nick looked up. “How do I look?” Nick stared at his 17-year-old daughter He smiled and got up.
“You look gorgeous like the belle of the ball,” Nick said.
“Thank you daddy,” Claire said.
“Your welcome princess,” Nick said hugging his daughter. “You are growing up so fast and it felt like only yesterday you were born.”
“Awe Dad.” They hugged again and Claire kissed Nick on the cheek. Then Mark arrived in a tuxedo with a pink corsage.
“Hey Claire. Wow you look gorgeous,” Mark complimented.
“ Thank you. Well we better get going,” Claire said.
“Wait ! This is your big night. We must take pictures,” Nick said grabbing the camera.
“But dad,we’ll be late for the prom,” Claire whined.
“Oh, a few pictures won’t hurt besides the cool people don’t’ show up till 9,” Nick teased. They took a few pictures then Connie and Mark left for the prom where they were named Prom King and Queen.

~ Same Year: High School Graduation ~
“Now let’s welcome, Palos Verdes Peninsula High school’s Valedictorian of 2024, Claire Samantha Lachey,” Principal Kelly Johnson announced as Claire went up to the podium. Of course, the bigges applause was from 2 very proud parents sitting in front row center. Nick was holding up a video camera while Jessica was beaming with pride.
“Fellow students, teachers and parents…” Claire began her speech.
“That’s our baby girl, Nick,” Jessica said as Claire made her speech.
“Yes she is.”
“I’m so proud and happy for her.”
“Me too. She’s such a special girl in our lives.”
“Yeah. She’s done so many things that made us so proud.”
Yeah. Do you think she’ll follow in our footsteps?”
“I don’t know. Maybe. Whatever it is, we’ll support her.”
“Yeah,” Jessica sighed as Claire finished her speech and sat back down.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, PV Peninsula High School’s cl[arse] of 2024,” the Principal announced. The students stood up and took off their caps and threw them in the air.

~ 6 years later: 2030 ~ ( 23 years old)
Pop star Claire Lachey was in the bride’s dressing room getting ready for her wedding in which she was getting married to her high school sweetheart and back-up dancer, Mark Webb. She was wearing her mom’s wedding dress but she altered it a bit to make it look new. Her hair was done in a bun with loose curls hang down.
“Well how do I look?” She asked everyone who was in the room which were her mom, her Grandma Cate, Grandma Tina, Auntie Ashlee and her daughter, C[arse]ie who was a bridesmaid, Auntie Lea and her daughters, Leann who was the maid of honor and Kandi who was also a bridesmaid, and her Auntie Cacee and her daughter, Faye who was also a bridesmaid.
“You look so beautiful,” Jessica said who was about to burst into tears. “You remind me of me 28 years ago when I married your father.”
“That’s maybe because I’m wearing your dress. Oh mom, don’t cry now. Save your tears for the ceremony,” Claire said wiping her mothers’ tears.
“Oh sweetie. You are young almost-to-married woman now. IT feels like you were in diapers yesterday. Now I guess it’s time to turn the page.”
“Oh mom.” They hugged. Then there was a knock on the door.
“ Who is it?” C[arse]ie asked.
“ It’s nick,” said the voice. Then C[arse]ie let Nick in.
“Hey honey,” Jessica greeted.
“Hi dad,” Claire greeted. There was a strong voice resemblance between Claire and Jessica.
“ Hello everybody. Um if you don’t mind, I would like to have a talk with my daughter,” Nick said. Everyone nodded and left the room leaving Nick and Claire alone.
“You look so beautiful, princess,” Nick said taking his daughter’s hands.
“Thank you daddy.”
“Well almost as beautiful as your mom on our wedding day.” Claire laughed a bit. “Now it’s time to get to the real stuff. Your mother and I are very proud and happy that you found someone like Mark who can make you happy and be there for you and love you. We’re also proud that you decided to follow in your mother’s footsteps to save yourself for marriage. We are also happy to see you accomplish so much and following our footsteps to become a singer and winning all those awards. The greatest gift to your mom and I have besides well each other, was you for a daughter.” Claire was almost about to cry and Nick hugged her. “Even though you’re getting married and all, you’re still my little girl.”
“I know daddy. Remember, you don’t have to let go,” Claire said softly. Nick nodded and kissed her forehead.
“Well now, it’s time.” So Nick and Claire left the dressing room and the wedding ceremony began where Nick walked Claire down the aisle and handed her over to Mark. They exchanged vows and rings and became Mr. and Mrs. Mark Webb. They danced their first dance as husband and wife to “Take My Breath Away” in which Nick and Jessica performed. Then Nick and Claire danced to “YouDon’t Have to Let Go” in which Jessica performed. It was a romantic and emotional ceremony and reception. Furthermore, it was a fairy-tale wedding.

~ 5 years later: 2035 ~ ( 28 years old)

“Mom, Dad, you’re gonna be grand parents!” Claire announced excitedly. Nick and Jessica jumped up with excitement and hugged their daughter and son-in-law.

~ 23 years later: 2058 ~ ( 51 years old)
“Claire, Jessica, Nick could make it. We tried everything but it was his time to go,” said Dr. November. Claire nodded with her tears flowing down her cheeks. Mark and her children, Samantha, Scott and Ann gathered round her and Jessica and they all hugged. Claire looked at her mom.
“Mom?” Claire said to Jessica who had been quiet the whole time. “It was time for him to go.”
“I know dear. I’m both happy and sad. I’m sad that I’ll never see the love of my life again.”
“Yes you will in heaven.”
“I know. But I’m happy that he died peacefully and he is going to a better place to join your grandparents and your great-grandparents and many others.”
“Me too, mom. Me too.”

I really loved it. :)

Just one thing: You kept changing her name from Claire to Connie.

I loved it. It was sad though at the end. Yeah you changed her name from Claire to Connie and Cacee to C[arse]ie. But, that doesn't matter that was a great story.

WOW!!! :huh: i loved it the story was great!!!!! I almost cried at the end though really sad :cries:

There was her aunt CaCee and her cousin C[arse]ie. Lol. And Yeah Claire to Connie back to Claire was confusing. Lol.

So sad!!
