BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - A sport utility vehicle carrying Lane Garrison of TV's "Prison Break" and three teenagers struck a tree, killing a 17-year-old boy, police said.

Two 15-year-old girls inside the vehicle were also injured, one critically, during the late Saturday night accident, police said. Garrison, 26, had minor injuries.
The vehicle jumped a curb and hit a tree. Authorities were trying to determine who drove the SUV, which was registered to Garrison.
The boy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he died. His name was not released. The conditions of the girls were not immediately released.
Garrison, a Dallas native, plays "Tweener" on Fox's "Prison Break." He has worked mainly in television, but appears in the upcoming film "Shooter," which is due out next year.
Garrison's publicist, Catherine Olim, did not immediately return a phone call Sunday.

Prison Break actor Lane Garrison was involved in a car accident in which a 17-year-old male was killed on Saturday, according to police.

A sport utility vehicle that Garrison, 26, was riding in with three teenagers jumped a curb and hit a tree in Beverly Hills at 11:50 p.m., police said.

Garrison, who plays "Tweener" on the Fox jailhouse drama Prison Break, received minor injuries. Two 15-year-old girls, who were also in the car, were both injured – one critically. The teenage boy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident and trying to determine who was driving the car, Beverly Hills Police Sgt. Michael Hill tells PEOPLE. (The SUV was registered to Garrison, the Associated Press reports.)

"There have been no charges. The case is under investigation. There has been no confirmation of information regarding what happened," says Hill. "The ID of the driver is still to be determined."

Police declined to release the names of the victims because they are minors.

They just said on ET that "Tweener" was invlolved with Joe Simpson before. They said that Joe helped him when he was a teenager to stay out of trouble and that he was his pastor then. Interesting.

Jessica Simpson has reached out to Prison Break actor Lane Garrison, who once lived with the pop star and her family when he was a troubled teen. Garrison was driving his Land Rover with three teenager passengers on Saturday night (02DEC06) when he struck a tree, killing a 17-year-old male passenger. The Dallas native grew up in a bad family environment and repeatedly found himself in trouble with the law. He left his Texas home as a teenager and moved in with his family minister, Joe Simpson. Lane has said in the past that he is grateful for Simpson's help getting his life back on track. Jessica released a statement through her publicist Cindi Berger on Monday (O4DEC06), standing by her family friend, saying, "We love Lane very much and our thoughts and prayers are with him now." Police say Lane could ultimately face felony charges, but until the investigation has been completed, no charges will be filed.
