I HAVE to do this

I am a musician from Vancouver BC
I have to say i cant stand boy band music and i honestly thought Nick and Jessica were a product of more style than substance a thing i truly believe is killing the music industry.
I had no intention of EVER listening to either of them and i p[arse]ed them off as another dime a dozen manufactured "pretty faces" shoved down our throats by the industry.
Until a friend of mine asked that i just watch one episode and listened to one song by each and then decide.
Well the episode i watched had Jessica singing god bless america and it shut me up a bit so i listened to a bit of both Nick and Jessicas solo albums and i have to admit I WAS WRONG! there i said it.
I honestly consider both of them extremely talented! and i have to give credit where its due.
Also a friend of mine had met them at LAX and said they were the nicest people and treated their little daughter like she was there own (taking time to pose for pictures and not giving the slightest hint of celebrity)
So far all you die hard fans you should be proud of both of them.
I will support them by buying both new albums and watching the show.
and again i have to give credit where its due and i must admit the people who were like me who wrote them off must not have given them a chance.

All I have to say is wait to buy her album a bit. Wait until March 2nd. Then you can get her re-release. It'll be worth it. Tons of added features and three new songs!

awwwwww but gotta let people get the better deal - with the bonuses, sissy - rather than have someone buy 2 copies of the thing ;)


I just wish labels would stop doing that - if you're gonna release the album, don't re-release it 6 months later with a couple extra things - it's not fair to poor fans.


Thanks for giving them a chance, Irish. It's a shame too many other people out there won't be as open minded.

yeah and it pissed me off that when they re-released the 98 debut they took out a song *cries* but i have it now so i don't care anymore :P. i would still rather have the original though.

My husband (DH-for all of y'all from yesterday :D LOL) felt exactly the same way you do until he sat down and watched an episode of "Newlyweds" with me. Then he listened to one of my Jessica CD's and said she is actually "pretty good", which coming from him means a lot. He even says that Nick has a good voice after watching the episode where Nick & Drew sang for their grandma's wedding.

I'm glad you gave them a chance. I wish other skeptics would. Some people think just because she is another blonde and he came from a boy band that they have no talent whatsoever. But both of them write most of their own songs, and if that doesn't show talent, then I don't know what does!

lord knows i'm one of the most dedicated nick fans and all that, but writing your own music doesn't necessarily show talent. don't get me wrong i think he has it i'm just sayin' lol.

oh and i can say this because i write my own music as well, and well lord knows i don't have talent lol. it just takes a gift and nick has it, i wish more could see that though *sighs*.
