Hey guys! Just finished showering and wanted to share!
I got to Tao at 11pm. It was packed and overwhelming. People were smoking and pushing me every direction. I was set to go at 12:30 and turned around ready to go when I see Vanessa! She was literally 5 feet away from me. She was with her friends, the same ones we saw in the Halloween pictures. She had on a gold sequin dress and her hair was really pretty. She is soooooooo pretty in person. I was the closest person to her and it was all by chance. The second I turned around she just arrived with her friends. They were sitting in seats facing the dance floor. I didn't see Nick at all. I snapped a few pictures of Vanessa. She was really playful and fun! I stood there for about another 20 minutes when ta da.... Nick comes! He was wearing a long sleeve navy blue shirt with stripes. Soooooo cute! He sits down and she comes over. He gives her a kiss on the lips! So cute! They were always, at most, an arms distance from eachother the whole time I was there. And I was barely 5 feet away from Nick! Vanessa sat in his lap a couple times and danced in front of him, she mostly sat right next to him. He was really nice to her friends, greeted all of them and gave them kisses on the cheek. The DJ had everyone in the club wish her a happy birthday a couple of times and then they brought out a pink cake with candles. Very sweet. Nick watched as she blew out the candles. He was smiling and laughing the whole time. They were talking to eachother the whole time when she wasn't talking to her friends. He sat on top of the back of the bench and held her around the waist a lot too. They looked like they were having a great time together. They are very touchy feely. And yup, Nick is an ass-man. I must have seen him touching her butt 5 times. Very sweet.... haha. I got a couple of decent pictures but then their body gaurds came over and stood in front them from every angle with a flash light so no one could take anymore pictures. I left at 2, my feet couldn't take it anymore. They were still there when I left though.
I don't have my cord with me so I can't upload pictures. I'll upload when I get home. I'm sure other pictures will surface though, I saw a sea of cameras when Nick came. I kinda feel bad about being so invasive about their lives. But I'm not doing that again. Don't know when I'll ever have that opportunity again. I won't go to Pure because I don't want to intrude in their lives anymore. Haha, I just feel so guilty gawking at them for 1.5 hours.

I'm glad I could share with you! In those pictures with Vanessa and her cake, Nick was right behind her but I think the body gaurd and that girl are blocking him.

Who all was at the club? Were they invited guests or just random people who came to party? Or was it a mix?
I just can't believe that you were able to walk right in! I thought you would have to be on some important list to get in the door! ?? DO TELL MORE!! :D

Please, please, please go to Pure tonight. Just do your hair up a different way and change your makeup and you will be just fine. Afterall, I imagine that the crowd will double tonight, so I am sure Nick and Nessa won't even notice that you are there.

Tao was just a regular club. When I got to there the line was soooooooo long, it was out the door and down the corridor. But the manager was screening people and I guess I was lucky enough to skip the line because he saw me and said "you can go in the guest line," and I walked right in. There isn't a VIP section at Tao, at least not one big enough for their party. So they just VIPed the seats facing the dance floor. There were body gaurds surrounding them the whole time. So no one could come up to them from the dance floor. I was behind the benches which also had a body gaurd by it; but because there was at least a physical barrier I was able to be closer. I can't upload the pictures till I go home since that's where my adapter cord is. I was looking at my pictures today and some turned out nicely. I guess since it was so dark with dim lighting I thought Vanessa's dress was more gold, but it looks black in my photos. I'm surprised I got to stand so close for that long too! But no one told me to move, haha, so I didn't. I didn't see anyone else at the party besides Nick, Vanessa and her friends.
I got a funny picture of him resting his hand on her butt. It's cute. You could tell they were a couple. When she was dancing she was either right in front of him or between his legs as he sat on top of the benches/where the go-go dancers were dancing. Or there were a couple times when she would turn and face him while she danced and sang along to the song being played. He would just look into her eyes and smile or laugh and then say something into her ear. I wish I could have gotten a video but it was soooooooo dark. There were a couple times when she danced to the music while sitting in his lap, but it was not at all a lap dance and I didn't see her do a lap dance once. So I think the tabloids have been exagerating that.
Pure is about 10 times the size of Tao. The VIP section at Pure is on an upper floor that overlooks the club. It would be impossible to get as close to them as I was last night. I don't know my chances of getting anymore pictures. But I will hang around Caeser's Palace tonight anyway. I don't think I'll go into the club though.

^you may be better off just standing around-probably a better chance of spotting him than if you went into the club (Pure) Have Fun! Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

I'm so glad I have people to share the excitement with! Haha. If you notice, I'm not at Pure. I went to Caesar's at 9 and sat in the sports bar section. You know the area with a million tv's showing sports with hundreds of lounge chairs. My boyfriend wanted to watch a game. I felt he deserved some 'guy' time. He made me feel soooooo bad about Tao. He called me a contributing factor to the abcyst on the butt of society for probing into the lives of celebrities. So, that's another why I skipped on Pure. HOWEVER, the sports bar area is conveniently RIGHT next to Pure; the only thing separating the sports area and the entrance to Pure was a velvet rope. I saw the people setting up the Pure backdrop for when celebs take their photo before getting in. Then I watched girl upon girl get in line to get into the club. Mind you, it was only 9! I left around 10 and the line was rediculously long; I don't even think they start letting the guests in til 11 so I have no idea about general admission. I guess with all the fliers and promoting everyone knew Nick was going to be there. I didn't stay to see Nick arrive (I don't like being called 'contributing factors.')
Anyway, I'll be home by tomorrow night. I'll upload my pics and I'll even try to draw you guys a map of the place so you can understand where I was in respect to Nick and Vanessa. Sorry for me skipping out on Pure, but I'm sure they'd just do the same kissy kissy stuff. Haha. Night.

Thanks for your "coverage"! Sounds like your best chance of seeing him was at Tao from what you said. I have to laugh about what your boyfriend said-I can totally relate, my husband thinks i am crazy. We almost went to Vegas this weekend and couldn't swing it with work schedules, once he found out it was because Nick was gonna be there, he just shook his head and laughed but he loves Vegas so he would go under any premise! Have fun the rest of your weekend.

I am the first to say that celebrities deserve their privacy...and I have a lot of sympathy for them when the paps stake out the grocery store to get a picture, chase them down the street in their cars, or hang out near their homes. But the partys at Tao and Pure were public events - that were heavily promoted (and open to the public). So I don't feel too bad! If Nick wanted to have a completley private party he would have picked a different venue. :D
adding - and who gives a flip about the EOE boards.. :rolleyes:

Nick like everyone else, likes his privacy but on the other hand, I don't think he has his head that far up his *ss that he has to have only private parties...I think it makes him feel normal just to go to a regular club. He has security of course but that's understandable!
He isn't the type to shy away totally from the public. When I saw him in Minneapolis he was walking around freely in the parking lot, he came to us, we did not ask him to come out. He's just that type of person. I am sure he has his days where he likes to be completely shielded but don't we all? I have days where I want to be completely by myself and not have contact with anyone...sorry, I went off a bit...I do agree with Teamlachey!

yep, and if you look at that second picture Vanessa's pose seems to me like she is showing off a sparkling diamond bracelet. Maybe a present from Nick. And the third picture looks like she was giving him a hug after she received the bracelet. Ummmmmmmmm. lol.

I was standing there when Vanessa's cake came. Nick was watching them carry it to her and then hugged her after she posed with the cake. I didn't see her blow the candle out because her friends swarmed around her. Vanessa and Nick didn't have any heated words after the cake! She was already in his arms and sitting in his lap! They were talking but if they were fighting, that was the sweetest most adorable kind of fighting I have ever seen. He was smiling and talking into her ear. Tabs! Pathetic. I don't know why I'm still awake, I think it's the adrenaline.
For people who might wonder why I got the color of the dress wrong, I have to say it looked gold in the club. It was dark and the lighting was really yellowish which reflected yellow off the sequins. The bench that was my 'physical barrier' from Nick and Vanessa, was 2 feet high or something (as you can see in the pictures.) I didn't have to strain my neck to see anything.
And if you guys are still wondering how I got into the club, I got in because it seems like everyone got in. I just happened to get in earlier than all the people in line. The manager, or whoever he was, saw me standing at the end of the line, he came over and asked if I wanted to get into restaurant or the club (Tao is a restaurant/club), and I said, "the club." He then asked how many were in my party and I said two. He pointed to one of the gaurds and said, "he'll walk you in," and he did just that. I think they were screening people to see who would get in first. I was lucky enough to get in first at 11. It's common for clubs to be somewhat selective in who they want to see inside. I'm not tooting my own horn or anything but I'm 22 and I'm not ugly. I didn't sneek into the club.
(If you noticed, I couldn't help reading EOE's comments. But I'm responding here because I'm a member of THIS board and I wanted to clear up any confusion that may be HERE. I love you all and I'm glad we could share in this wonderful experience together.)

Thanks for all the time you spent taking pics and posting such detailed info. It's really interesting to see/read a TRUE first hand report - then compare it with the tabloids version of the *story*.
So thanks for not only giving us a glimpse into Nick and Vanessa's birthday, but for helping us see and understand how the tabs use pictures to twist and create a more dramatic story - and why we should always doubt their version of events!!

I completly understand, it must have been a sureal moment to see them that up close and personal. I am the same type of person I would have felt like it was time to go also. I know understand after reading your summary and viewing the photos why you did not want to go to PURE the next night. After all you provided to us what not magazine, gossip blog or gossip rag could provide.
You gave us not only "exclusive" photos you gave us a personal first hand account of them celebrating and having a good time!! That is very refreshing!!:love:

You know, another reason why I left was because that area behind the velvet rope where the body gaurd was standing was set up as a little bar for her party. Vanessa and Nick eventually were turning around and facing me! This meant they were about 4 feet away. Haha. I couldn't handle staring at them face to face so close so I decided it was a good time to leave.

Where are you from?I want to go to Vegas so bad and stay at the palms, but my bf of 7 years is scared to fly and when 911 happened I just gave up on trying to convince him it would be OK.And there is no way I could drive all the way from atlanta. There was a short clip on E news tonight. They showed a pictured and said Nick looked like a deer caught in the headlight, as he smiled and enjoyed his party with the *****cat dolls. Then they added that ladies need not worry, as his leading lady Vanessa was there all along to help him celebrate. Then they ended the segment by showing that picture of Nick and Vanessa cuddled up in that restaurant infron of the massive newspaper on the wall. They had nothing nasty to say about the couple!
