So the concert was amazing, great, fantastic...we all know that!
My daughter and I drove over 4 hours to get there and stayed the night and drove home Sunday morning. It was really fun and exciting to look forward to.
So after the concert, Nick left right away but his band was out by the buses. The buses were parked out in the open, the theater didn't have any "entrance" or gates. We were parked right in front of the buses, literally 50 feet away. So the drummer (can't remember his name) and Robbie were taking pics with fans and talking. My daughter and I got a pic with Robbie.
Anyone in Cali seen the personalized plates with the heart? Well, I got one with a heartNLACHY. I also have heartBSB4VR. (OT, sorry) ANYWAY, the drummer went back on the bus. I put my address on the back of my business card, got $10, an envelope and the plate and went to the bus to motion the drummer I had a quick question. (Robbie was choppin' it up with some girls, so I didn't want to ask him) So I told the guy "I know this is a long shot, but I had this plate made and I want to know if you could have Nick autograph it and send it back to me" He looked puzzled and said "Isn't that a lot?" and I said "I just want to make sure it gets back to me." I told him we drove down from Northern Cali and we'd see him in San Jose. So he said "Yeah, I'll do that for you". I thanked him so much and then we left him alone.
So I was really stoked and looking forward to the mail...until I heard his radio interview with Mix94 in Vegas. He mentions something about Vanity plates with your name on it and that he thinks it's a bit extreme or something like that.
I feel really dumb now, like maybe he thinks I'm a lunatic to do that. I just hang them on the wall, I don't really drive around with it. I have a feeling I won't get it back. I just thought it was ironic that I did that last Saturday and he mentions something about it a few days ago. So I believe he got the plate, but won't send it back. So after hearing that interview, I got really disappointed. I will post a pic of it later.
