I knew it! I knew LETTUCE would be next! My family and I ate out last night and I got a Caeser Salad (habit!). I didn't want my kids to eat it but my entire family was teasing me about being paranoid so I gave them some. :Straight Face: Thankfully I don't live in any of the states mentioned but I'm sure more states will be named before this is all over.
GEEEEEZ.... I'm going to start growing my own food supply. :Sigh:

I just called my store because even though I am in PA I buy the Foxy brand of Romaine lettuce. It is VERY scarey! What bother sme is how can they not test the water that is feeding into the fields??? I guess I just take it for granted but I would think it is required. The other scarey part was thi part:
"Epidemiologists also warned consumers this week to stay away from some bottled carrot juice after a Florida woman was paralyzed and three people in Georgia experienced respiratory failure, apparently due to botulism poisoning."
Can you imagine all those people who try to drink healthy stuff and now you don't know WHAT to eat/drink etc.?!?
I'm starting to wonder if it is someone is doing it on purpose! Some weirdo. The sad part is people can die and have died from this sort of thing! It also said they make veggie trays etc. How about all the people having parties??? Unreal! Spread the word to your families!

Ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, I knew it. I told my nieces not to eat any vegetables that cannot be cooked. Why, because we cannot trust the food industry or the government to give us the facts. They wait until someone dies and it is reported in the news before they tell us to stay away from the product. I learned that a long time ago not to trust these people. Therefore, all the lettuce and spinach can rot in the supermarkets for all I care. lol.

The news is claiming no one is sick yet, the companies are just being cautious about it.

by the time they actually report it, the stuff has been on the shelves and peoepl have been eating it! There is no way for them to know who all may have ate it and died or been sick due to the recalled stuff. People are old and families just pass it off as them being old etc.
