View Full Version : Cleveland Ohio Concert Recap

We got there in the middle of Dirty Blondie. When we were trying to find our seats, one of the ladies said follow that girl in the wheelchair.. so I did well, she had backstage passes...needless to say I was directed the wrong way. I did not have backstage passes. I guess I can say that I almost met Nick! I actually got to say "Hi" to Josh he was really nice and Tommy(Nick's bodyguard) was around me a lot too.
Anyways, we finally got seated and I thought WOW these are great seats...HA :Rolling Eyes: once Nick came out every one stood up for the rest of the night, and I could only see his head if I was lucky :Cry:
Everyone was going NUTS! He started off with Outside Looking In then went to Everywhere But Here and the rest of the order is a blur. He sang everything on What's Left of Me, but Ghosts. Crave, Ramble On, Hardest Thing, I Do, and Slave. Plus, To Fall In Love Again. He was funny. When he intro'd To Fall In Love Again he goes did anyone buy my first record Soulo? Some cheered and he goes a few of you. Then he goes hang on to those they will be collectors items one day! Then he laughed! Then he said I will fall in love again! Just not tonight! :LOL: (My dad loved that!)
Then the girl he serenaded with Slave was a cute blonde. He hugged her twice, held her hand, stroked her cheek and the top of her head! UGGH!..LUCKY GIRL! :wink: Before he went out to sing to her, he said he was going to take a layer off... :Big Grin: :Kiss: :Whew: he took his shirt off and had a black tank top on. The crowd went CRAZY! I think that was the loudest of the night!
He sounded soooooooooooo good! I couldn't even tell he had been sick. He said he loved Ohio. He left the stage and everyone was chanting Nick.. Nick, he came back and sang Resolution pausing in the middle and just standing there smiling So Cute! :Kiss: :wink: He then went "SHH" and finished the song. Then he sang What's Left of Me and that was it. He was AWESOME! What you see is what you get. I'm so proud to be a Nick fan!!
The openng acts were o.k. People kept screaming we want Nick, and get off the stage! They handled it well, and said he's coming!
They never checked for cameras! I could not believe how laid back they were! No searches or anything! UGGH! I could have taken a camera! Oh well, I still have the memories! I bought a concert t-shirt.
T4P, sounds like you had a great time. Glad to know he is feeling better.

I'm short..lol. So, I hate when that happens. Sorry you had to deal with just seeing his head.

Sure! I just fixed all of my typos! I'm in a wheelchair so I'm even shorter :(
I was there too and I had a great time! I thought at first he sounded a little off (because he's sick) but he quickly got over that and he sounded great. I will upload my pics later today and I even got video of him taking off his shirt! You could tell he was really happy to be back in Ohio. I loved his version of Higher Ground with Lebron and dissing the Pistons!
We waited by his bus in the back for about a half hour but he ended up being sneaky and went out the side door. Oh well.. there's always next time!

Great attitude. You're a very understanding fan. I just want to add that he's probably not 100% better yet and must be too tired and just want to rest. :Love:
Yeah, the ladies sitting next to us at the show met him backstage at his meet and greet and they said he is on vocal rest.
I did talk to a lady who met him by the side door and she said he did stop for the handful of people who were there. So that was really nice of him eventhough he's still a little sick. And it was COLD! But he's an Ohio boy.. he can take it! ;)

I also went to that show in cleveland! I was in the 1st row.the only guy in the first row.......lol I thik he put on a damn good show.......his voice seamed really good. I was walking around the side of the building a few hrs before the show started...I could hear him doing his sound check.that was pretty kool. I was happy he did just about all his songs from the WLOM cd and some 98 stuff and some good covers. I was a little let down by him not accepting the few gifts the fans got him..........like the bengals hat I got him. anyways I promised some pics to some girls but I cant get the e-mails to work.....so if your reading this let me know how to contact you...I have a bunch of pics! I was the guy in the miami redhawks hat.....you know the same one Nick has... and can be seen all over the newlyweds dvd the final season...lol all in all I had a good time.......if anybody would like to reach me my e-mail is Razor1579@yahoo.com.

well I just about put it in his hand a few times and he didnt take it.....he knew I was trying to give him it. So I threw it at him! he didnt pick it up he just walked around it. and some lady kept trying to give him a jersey and he just ignored the fact. I dont understand it.....I really dont. Im not saying he is a bad guy or anything..maybe he just has a rule or something. I take things to heart sometimes. somebody has that hat now....who knows

Im sorry Im so new to this posting stuff I think Im messin it up ...I dont mean to be.
Were you trying to give it to him while he was performing? Maybe some performers don't do that. It's not that he may not be appreciative towards your gift. You know they do deal with unstable fans to, so there is always that to consider. I say if you see Tommy, or Josh, try to give it to them.

haha you're funny! You don't look unstable to me either! Considering he's performeing in a smaller concert hall, I would think he would give more perosnal service to the fans. IMO, he should have taken your hat and the other girls shirt. He states he likes doing these smaller venues to be closer to the fans, so he should interact more with them. Heck other performers accept things at bigger venues! Oh well, you had good intentions. You get an A+ for that part! :Big Grin:

It's very possible that Josh went to Cabo with Nick & Drew - can't remember for sure though...they've been friends for years - and if my brain is working correctly right now (and I don't know that it is) it was at Josh's bachelor party that Nick supposedly/reportedly was inappropriate with the stripper.

I know this doesn't have do with Nick but.... I remember when Nsync was popular back in the day they said in a magazine please do not give us gifts. We would rather you donate to our favorite charity. Maybe Nick is the same way perhaps..... He would rather money donated to his favorite charity rather than holding onto gifts that someone else could use :Thinking:

yeah maybe so..I did buy an auto cd of WLOM at the show....I was told the money was going to chairty..so I was trying to do both....but like I said....it is what it is.....and whats done is done. I still had fun!

The Cleveland show was amazing. I was one of the lucky few who got to watch him perform front row, and have him sing to me during the song Shades of Blue. It was amazing but unfortunately my friend was being pushed by the camera guys so we could not get a picture of this moment. So, I was wondering if anybody has any photos of him sitting on the steps singing Shades of Blue? This picture would mean so much to me and I thank you all in advance for your time in looking through your photos from the show.
