Hey all,
Just letting everyone know how it went yesterday meeting Nick. The night was amazing but it ended up being different then I thought it would be but I am still totally grateful for the experience. My friends and I met with a Sony rep at about 8 infront of the merchandise booth. He then gave us meet and greet stickers to wear and we followed him backstage somewhere where we met up with about 15 other lucky winners. The contest that I won was have dinner with 3 friends and then have dessert with Nick Lachey at the Kool Haus. So the Toronto Sony rep gave us a box filled with tasty looking desserts that were even personalized with hearts and Nick written on them. He told us to sign the box so we did and we were all excited and ready to meet Nick. Nick walked by a few minutes later and waved to everyone waiting and then he sat down at a table. The bodyguard was very strict with the no hugging no kissing policy and said that Nick couldn't afford to get sick because he still had a tour to complete. He also said there was no time for pictures with Nick and only one autograph per person. I was a little disappointed but still excited of course! So because we had our "dessert" we were the last ones to get to meet him and after all the anticipation there he was! Nick was looking good as usual and was all smiles. I was more calm than I thought I would be and approached him with the box of dessert. He was happily surprised and smiled when he read what we wrote on it. He had some trouble opening it and was like "wow what do we have here" when he saw them. He seemed impressed and was like "mmmm is that a lemon tart?" I said sure lol and then he said "oh well thank you very much and I'll have to eat it later after the concert". Which meant we were not infact having dessert with him but oh well I was still excited to be face to face with him. I think things were rushed and he had to get warmed up, so we talked and joked around for a bit. I told Nick what a huge fan I was and gave him a picture of my 14th birthday cake that had a picture of him on it. He got a kick out of that and his body guard couldn't stop laughing. He asked if it had been a good cake and I said yeap it was an ice cream one and he said "sounds good". He signed my photo and we briefly talked about the Much Music Video Awards which was the last time I had met him. As he was signing my friends stuff I mentioned that the Bengals were doing well. He said "YEAH! We're 3 for 0" and smiled. That was basically as much as I got to talk to him so no sorry I didn't get even a second to ask him any questions. I really wanted to mention nickfanatic.com and ask him when the Hard Easy was coming out. Quickly Nick stood up and he took a picture with us. I was beside him and he put his arm around my waist which was just heavenly! Then I tried to stick around longer but some security people were all "Leave now, exit down there!" which kind of sucked but oh well. As I was leaving I yelled I love you Nick and when I was out of Nicks sight it hit me that I had just met him again and I started screaming and jumping up and down for joy. Even though it was short and wasn't what I had expected I am so grateful and happy that I got to experience it all.
The concert that followed was AMAZING! (read my review on the main page along with photos)
To everyone else who is going to see Nick on tour HAVE FUN :Big Grin:
