OMG!! It was awesome-my voice is shot. That man has such a stage presence. I am gonna try to figure out how to upload these pictures from my digital camera right now and I will post a full review tonight or tommorow. Any questions in the meantime-fire away.

How does he start off the show? Does he start talking about something, or start with a song? Does he have a question answer time?

I was five rows back-great seats but as soon as he started, people rushed the front by us and had posters up and we couldn't see so I had to [nice person] at people, then security came and made people go back to their seats.
He started our show with Outside Looking In. The music started after you watch a short clip for his endorsement (builds up the anticipation with clips/songs from Nick).

When he went out into the audience did he only go right there close to the stage or did he go up in the next sections?

There were 4 rows of chairs set up close to the stage, then the regular seats. The girl he sang to was right in the first row of the "seats" basically 5 rows back right in the middle of the aisle, center stage. I was in the same row just furthur down to the left. The security was having a hard time keeping people in their seats and away from the stage so it would have been very difficult for him to move furthur up into the side aisles.
I gotta say, he was so sexy when he sang to that woman-OMFG!!! Hot as hell-he put his head in her lap!

Thanks
I think I would have died if I was that girl. Having Nick Lachey lay his head in my lap. Oh yea I would be a goner!!

So here's my long winded review.....
As you know from my posts yesterday, I was soooo excited, I felt like throwing up! We hit downtown Detroit and there are his buses. 4 buses total, I think his has black with blue stripe things on it because it was pulled right into the Opera house, whereas the other 3 were on the street.
So we went and had dinner and got to the Opera House at 7pm. I proceeded to look for the T-shirt area, well the line was out the door! So I stood in line, roughly 20 minutes and got a red t-shirt, his tote bag, and a sticker, keychain, and pin. The Opera House took credit cards so it may depend on each venue if they take them or not.We missed all of Dirtie Blonde. We went to our seats after-5 rows back-such good seats and Joanna came on. She sounded good and my aunt really liked her. After a few minutes I decided I wanted another Nick t-shirt :) so I went and waited in line again!
The crowd was quite a mix. Not all teenagers, some guys, more older ladies than expected. In front of us were 4 women, 2 women in their 30's and their mothers!
So the anticipation is building and they drop a video screen with Nick in the new Dodge (his tour sponser) and they are playing WLOM and clips of the video and everyone is screaming! There is a white sheet over the stage and then it is his sillouhette and there he is and everyone went crazy-I couldn't believe it was him, I thought I was dreaming! Everyone rushed the stage, all the aisles were filled and I had to tell people to get out of our way, they were holding up posters and blocking our view! I was a biotch about it but I didn't care! I needed to see Nick!
He opened with Outside Looking In. He did all of WLOM except Ghosts. He did I fall in love again off Soulo-he said it was his favorite off that album. He did the acoustic thing with 98 degrees songs, The Hardest Thing, and I Do Cherish You. He did the Higher Ground by Stevie Wonder and then did the 2 Zeppllin songs-Ramble on and Whole Lotta Love which he did EXCELLENT covers of (I am a rocker chick from way back!). His voice sounded great, his band was awesome.
He sang some song about master/slave to a very lucky woman in my row-way too hot.
Some general observations-He sang "I do it for you", then "Beautiful"-I think "I do it for you" went over better, I liked it better live than "Beautiful". "Shades of Blue" live was really awesome.
For his encore, he did Resolution and WLOM. I swear to God, right in the beginning of WLOM he looked right at me, our eyes were locked for a few seconds. Even my aunt pinched me, she noticed-I thought I was gonna melt right there.
He was chatty with us, had lots of energy. I didn't see Vanessa in the crowd. As we were leaving, on the second floor of the Opera House is like a hospitality room that is all glass and he was in there with his band and other people, we could see him sitting there!
It was a great concert and I've been to alot of concerts and this was as good as it gets really.
Now, I really want to go to another show, don't know if I can swing it though logistically. My aunt asked if my "Nick fix" was satisfied, I told her no, I want more now!
I will email Leslie my photos when I get home from work-my digital camera skills are pretty bad and most came out blurry but there are a few good ones!
