“Jessica” (ABC, comedy): Simpson's media [arse]ault was to have continued in this show, where she would have played a bubble-headed pop star-turned-correspondent for an “Access Hollywood”-like show. Proving that ABC just has issues with that family, the network shunned “Hot Mom,” in which husband Nick Lachey co-starred with Gina Gershon. ABC opted instead to order a few more variety specials featuring Nick and Jessica pretending to be themselves.

Well Nick is not a "SIMPSON," never was and never will be. He is Nick Lachey, the one we love and respect. He was just trying to earn a living, and he has every right to do so. If I was Nick, I would use the xmas variety special as a spring board to launching his next CD. If he isn't already working on the next album, my suggestion is that he should get started on it. I think he has plenty of time to get it done, and ready for a Xmas release. One more thing Nick should do is be sure to tell everyone to go out and buy his album that will be in stores on a specific date. Promote the album himself, any way he can do it.

I really want Nick to reap some benefits out of opening up his private life to scrutiny, and I strongly believe he can do it in this forum, and he should use ABC, just as they are going to use him.

Well said I think he should do some self promoting as well. Take it upon hisself cause apparently no one else is helping him.

Nick doesn't need a few more Variety Specials to sell Cd's. Nick just need to record the album, cut it, release it and promote it. I know that Jessica supports him, but I would like to hear her tell everyone to support Nick and buy his album too. I think if they both do that at the end of the Christmas Variety Special, and with the Christmas Variety show still fresh in everyone's mind, then people will be out to buy it.

I am a concerned mother and I am so sick and tired of people (e.g. media people) beating up on Nick, and always trying to put him down for no reason at all. Thank God the man has a good support system (spouse and families and friends). And thank God he is a strong man because if it was me, I would be calling many a press conferences to set many a record straight. Enough is enough!!!! Everyone should just give Nick a break. Nick is a decent humble guy, and men like him do not come around very often, especially in Hollywood. My whole family respect and admire him for his patience and courage, and for the way he loves his wife....Jessica. By golly, the man should get many awards for just being himself.

Another thing....last week I saw on wireimage.com that Nick gave an interview while he was in Houston to perform at Highlands High School prom. Is there anyone from Houston on the board, and have you heard the interview, and if so where can we find it to listen to? Please state the website on this board, for us Nick fans to read or listen to.
