Lindsay Lohan’s Hermes Birkin bag containing over $1 million worth of jewelry was stolen at Heathrow Airport in London Thursday afternoon, TMZ reports. Scotland Yard confirmed that the "theft of a bag at Heathrow Airport was reported to police by a 20-year-old woman."

According to the Yard, as the woman was exiting the Terminal One building, she noticed that an orange Hermes handbag was missing from her suitcase trolley.

Lindsay's rep, Leslie Sloane, confirmed to TMZ the theft occurred and that Lindsay is extremely upset about the loss of personal belongings. "She is begging for the return of the items," Sloane says. "She doesn't care how she gets them back, she just wants her stuff back."

Sources tell Us Weekly that the bag contained cash, jewelry, passport, and a cashmere sweater, and that Lohan is hysterically calling friends. The Birkin bag itself is estimated to have been worth around $5,000.

Scotland Yard says they are investigating the matter but, as of yet, have no suspects.

Saw that story on the Today show this morning. A man from the airport says a lot of people get bags stolen while in that airport. I doubt anyone will return it though.

Just her luck, Lindsay Lohan’s Hermes Birkin bag, which went missing at London’s Heathrow Airport Thursday has turned up, the Associated Press reports. Lohan was traveling through the airport on her way back from the Venice Film Festival where she was promoting her new film, Bobby, when her bag containing over $1 million in jewelry disappeared from her luggage cart.

"A member of the public contacted us to say they had found it and brought it in," a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said, on customary condition of anonymity. "We have not yet established what, if anything, is missing."

Lohan's rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, told The Insider on Thursday that the orange Hermes bag contained jewelry and the actress' asthma medicine.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed Thursday that a 20-year-old woman had reported the theft of a bag from the airport, but in keeping with force policy did not name her.

"We understand the bag contained a quantity of jewelry," police said in a statement.

After it was fully recovered, the bag released a statement clarifying that it was not “missing” but merely “exhausted.”
