Hi, I'm writting a paper for US History II. I was wondering if you all could help me out with a question that I want answered. Here's the question:
Do you think that divorce harms children? Why or why not?
Thank you for helping me out :) Thanks :)
Well you have to look at the several things.
One: What age period of the child did the parents break up.
Two: The type of life style the child grew up in (Ex: City, Suburban, country side, etc.)
Three: The state of mind of the child. In today’s fast growing society a child even at early age knows more then when we were kids.
Many may argue that parents breaking up will 'cause their children to feel guilty for the divorce but some may say that you can not be really sure the type of impact this will have. My parents broke up in my very early teens and it did not affect me in a matter of going to a bad road. Instead it gave me hope that one day I will have a family and make it work. But there's really no way to determine that. To know is to consider everything in the Childs life and the experience of her/his future. Does it harm children’s? Yes and No. It can go either ways or it can be both. Sorry I can’t give you an answer but I hope this helps a little.
