never had to deal with jetlag - but you're definitely right about the numb-butt - but my biggest problem was foot/leg cramping. La Crosse to Des Moines may only be 5 or 6 hours - but it's a LONG boring 5-6 hours cuz there is nothing interesting to see.

On the way home, I was stopping at like every rest area I found

on the way down though, we made 3 stops total (and none were very long - not my type of driving that's for sure).

I can't even last in a car 2 hours, I doubt I'll last 6 hours. That's just too long for me especially when there isn't anything interesting to look at.
