Ashlee, 19, is due to release debut album Autobiography in the summera nd chose to share some of her work with fans at her first concert, which took place on April 26th at Hollywood's Knitting Factory.

And before performing her song Shadow, Ashlee told the crowd of about 90 people - including Jessica, 23, and her 30-year-old husband Nick Lachey - that the song was "about finding my own identity".

She sang, "I was living in the shadow of someone else's dream / Trying to find a hand to hold but every touch felt cold / I was living in a nightmare, a never-ending dream / But now that I am wide awake my chains are finally free / So don't feel sorry for me."
