Jessica Simpson launches sexy beauty products
Jessica Simpson's new line of beauty products are garnering some mixed reactions due to their sexually suggestive names, according to the New York Times.
Simpson's line, called "Dessert" has 13 "deliciously kissable" items like Belly Button Love Potion, Hot Body Topping and Whipped Body Cream with Candy Sprinkles.
The pop singer and star of her own reality show -- with hubby Nick Lachey --has carefully cultivated a squeaky clean image, hoping to distinguish herself from eqaully-blonde pop-counterparts Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.
Simpson issued a statement through her publicist which insisted her items "are beauty products, not sex products." However, she admitted to using her husband as a product tester to find out which products smelled the best during "snuggling or smooching."
"This is clearly aimed at being more provocative and trying to age her up to an older following," Laura Groppe, president of the Girls Intelligence Agency, told the Times.
Simpson's second cosmetics collection called "Taste" is set to be in stores next fall.
