Put aside everything you have heard about Nick Lachey in the past few years. Forget about Newlyweds, tabloid drama, and any of the Team Nick/Team Jessica drama and pick up Nick Lachey's new album What's Left of Me. The album, which hit stores on May 9th recently debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart.
If you enjoy hearing music that is driven by emotion you will be pleased with this album. The title track, "What's Left of Me," is doing quite well on The Billboard charts and the video is in heavy rotation on MTV. The song really is awesome, easily a modern pop music classic.
Nick Lachey got his start as the lead singer of late 90's boy band 98 Degrees. His last solo effort SoulO went pretty much ignored.
What's Left of Me is a twelve track disc of truly heartfelt songs. Nick doesn't stray to far from the type of songs he is known for so expect to hear your share of pop ballads and boy band type of pop tracks. It's a really great album that doesn't try to be anything more than it is. It's a very emotion driven project and hopefully a project that is not overpowered by it's singer's excessive tabloid coverage.
