Kaylynn Emma Robertson
“Kaylynn Emma Robertson.â€Â
Kaylynn smiled as she walked onto the stage and grabbed her diploma. She looked out toward the audience and smiled at her parents, who were smiling proudly at their daughter. After the ceremony was over, they walked over to their daughter.
“Were so proud of you Kaylynn.â€Â
“Aww mom….†Kaylynn smiled as she hugged her mother.
“You did us right, Kaylynn. I’m so proud of you.†Kaylynn smiled at her father before they turned around and headed toward their limo. That was they way life was supposed to be….
I woke up from my dream and looked around. I sighed. It was just a dream. I was really living in my house in London, England. I sighed and shook my head. It also meant that I was stuck in a world where I couldn’t escape. I started to get out of bed and get ready for the day when my maid walked in. I pulled my robe around me and smiled.
“Hey Eli. How are you?â€Â
“Fine madame. What would you be having for break’ feast?â€Â
I sighed and debated what I wanted.
“I suppose it’d be too much for just a bowl of cereal, huh.â€Â
“Not at all m’am. Hot or cold?â€Â
“Cold.â€Â
“All right m’am,†she started to walk around the room when she stopped and looked toward you.
“Oh m’am, I forgot to tell you. Your mom and dad had to leave. Another meeting in Paris. They should be back a couple of days from now.â€Â
I sighed and nodded.
“Thank you Eli. That would be all.â€Â
Eli nodded and closed the door. I sat back on my bed and sighed. Today was the day I was going to present my art work to the directors. If I was lucky, one of my designs could possibly become marketed. They had promised they would show up. I smirked at the thought. Promised. That was a word my parents excluded out of our vocabulary a long time ago. I remembered being a child performing in a recital, hoping to see their smiling face among the many parents. They never were. It took a while for me to get accustomed to the life of a Robertson. I didn’t expect that they would choose money over their daughter. Then again, they never expected me to be in their life, period.

I stood in the small dressing room full of roses and looked at myself in the mirror. Was I really as lucky as my friends said I was? I grew up in a home that was loving, I always had support. I had a twin brother that was there for me, and I had a mother who would die for me. I once had a loving father too, until he died of colon cancer. I was only eight then. I took up modeling when i was sixteen. My mom had said I was perfect for it, despise the fact that I was short. It was a hurdle to overcome, but it was fun. I was able to have my music and allow modeling to be my income for college. When I did get accepted into Guidhall, I was overcome with excitement. I wasn’t going to go down the same path as my mother and father, and actually go to college. Everything has gone the way that I liked it. With the exception of modeling. Yeah, its fun, but its not my p[arse]ion. My p[arse]ion lies with musis. The one thing that my mother didn’t’ understand,
“Yelissa!â€Â
“Mom!â€Â
I turned around and looked at my mom. She smiled.
â€ÂThe limo’s here.â€Â
“Ahh. And my twin brother.â€Â
“Ramon decided to head in early.â€Â
“Ahh.â€Â
I know the truth. He had decided to go out and party.
“Well lets go.â€Â
“Wait,†my mom took off my gl[arse]es and handed me my contact case.
“We can’t leave without these.â€Â
I looked down at the contacts, then her and smirked.
“Mom, are you serious?â€Â
“You owe the public this much. Celebrities are not ugly and they don’t wear gl[arse]es. I’ll wait.â€Â
I sighed as I turned around and started to put my contacts in.
“You look absolutely horrible with those gl[arse]es. I didn’t birth a pig.â€Â
I blinked back a couple of tears and then looked toward my mother.
“Better?â€Â
“Hmm, hold on darling?â€Â
She grabbed a clip and put it in its place and looked toward my face.
“you always had a pig face. Hmm, it’s a shame. Other than that you would be perfect. Oh, you would have to loose a couple more pounds of course. Come, the limo waits.â€Â
I sighed as I grabbed my backpack and stalked. Yeah, this was my perfect life.
