Ideas For The Video

I love this song and I am wondering what people visualize when they listen to this song. What do you think is the video for this song?

When I listen to this song, I visualize Nick driving down a long country road with the top down and he's looking through the rearview mirror and in the rearview mirror are these images of his past, all the heartbreak, sorrow, baggage getting smaller the further in the distance he drives until the end of the song you have him arriving at home, driving up his driveway, getting out of the car and walking in his front door. When he walks through the front door ther is a beautiful woman, a couple of kids and a dog there to greet him and behind him is a mantle with a couple of grammy's on it.

What do you all see?

See funny you mention this because yesterday I was thinking about what this song means to him... and I wanted to come on here to post, lol.

I think the song is about how he's been through SO much just in his life in general. He went from big 98 Degrees star (and that was a struggle at times I'm sure also) to this beginning solo artist who (dare we say it :( ) flopped... to picking up the pieces from that and trying to take a second shot at his success... and then there's the whole Jessica thing on top of that.

I hate when people think its ALL about Jessica though, because I really don't think it is... it just kinda tops it off.

I like your idea for the video a lot. I want something meaningful like that for the video.

I like the first part of your video idea.

I'm not sure what my idea for the video would be... but I'm sure whatever the video is about - I'll like it.

He did say yesterday that the video should be coming out within 1month to a month in a half from now. :D The cd will be coming out 2nd-3rd week of May.

I know. I hate it when people say its about Jesscia too. There is so much more to Nick Lachey than Jessica Simpson. Granted, I don't think we can totally leave her out. She was a part of his life for a long time and I do think this song is about leaving the past behind (including her) and moving forward. It is an absolutely beautiful song and i KNOW that it is going to be a hit.

I think the lyrics make you feel hopeful. They make you feel like even though you have been through a rough time and the rough times have made you feel like less of a person that you pictured yourself to be and that some part of your life didn't turn out the way you wanted them to, you can still take whats left of you and move on. Your life is not over and you can still have all the things you want out of life. It's not too late.

when i listen to Nick's song, i think of him alone in his house sitting on the edge of his bed, crying just a little tear or two, while looking through some of his old photos framed. & then gazing out the window, while it's pouring rain..& then he is breaking stuff all around his home like furniture & lamps & gl[arse] stuff. aww. :(

I'd like his video to be in black and white, similar to Evanessece's "My Immortal". There should be no ties to anything Newlyweds, and no Jessica look-a-likes!

Gotta agree with you on the no 'memories' of Newlyweds/Jess in the video, AJ.

Can you imagine the ruckus it would cause if that was involved - all the fans who can't seem to understand that "We're divorcing" doesn't mean we're gonna get back together - look at these irrelevent things that you think are tied together which show you that - would be screaming & shouting that he was USING ms. twit to further his career (not like she didn't use him and throw him to the garbage - but they ignore that fact).

I hope so. The song is a very emotional song and the video needs to be the same so it will have impact!
