Being totally honest -

It's a very interesting blend - I think it's "too busy" though (too many pics) but part of that is probably that I like having "empty" space for my icons.

That's just my prefs though - Maybe pick like one pic to be your 'focus' pic in the center. Then resize the pics around the edge so they're smaller and you don't lose people in the blend area.
