Hey,
I havent posted here in a while, but I just wanted to tell you guys about this singer who has the mosy original music and raw talent. You may have heard of him, his name is Jason Mraz....he had a cd out in 2002 called Waiting for My Rocket, but his best stuff is "underground". He has a good record deal and makes cds regularly. He just released a CD called Mr. A-Z.... He's such an amazing artist and so good to his fans, I had the pleasure of hanging out with him last Wed, and I couldnt believe how incredibly nice and genuine he is and the normalcy of this guy. I really incourage you all to discover Jason's music. I too am a Nick fan, so I think we have similar music tastes, although Jason sounds nothing like Nick. He doesnt stick to one genre, he has awesome jazz songs, popish songs, hip-hop influenced tracks, some Paul Simonesque songs, seriously just about every genre, he even does this operatic thing in one of his songs...its awesome. plus he scats like crazy. He's a really funny guy, really smart, and so down to earth. He posts to his fans on his journal entries all the time....and unlike many other people he doesnt say "hey, Im recording my new CD right now, it will be out on April 25th. Thanks for your support" He tells us stories of crazy things like we were having a conversation,, but his topics are so random, very entertaining. Plus he makes videos for his fans and posts them on his website, just for us. Theres "Invisible Microphone News" which he interviews people that he works with, just goofy interviews. I know I just rambled on, and probably most of you will just ignore this. But if you're looking for some good new music from just a plain good guy than definetly check Jason Mraz out.....Its always fun to discover new music.
