Shut Up Sample? Help!

I love Nick's song "Shut Up". Does anyone know the song that was sampled for "Shut Up"? I don't have Nick's album, and I've been searching the Internet with no luck. I know that it should be mentioned in the CD's credits section under "Shut Up". If anyone knows of the title of the song and/or the artist please let me know.

I just looked at the linears from SOULO - and there isn't any song listed as being sampled on SHUT UP.

I like Shut Up but after hearing sooo much of it, I've had to retire that song for a little while. :hehe:

Not the instrumental part at the beginning, but the melody of the part where he sang "...and it just had to be you....you....you...". That melody sounds like a 70's or 80's r&b song. It forgot the name of it and the artist.
