This story is Untitled because I have never been able to come up with a title for it. I hope y'all enojy :)

“Untitled”

JC Chasez sighed, looking around his hotel room in Orlando, Florida. His girlfriend of 3 years, Brittany Thompson, was coming over and she said she had something important to discuss with him. The couple had had a few slight problems recently, but JC still had no idea what she wanted to talk about, but he felt it wasn’t anything good.

His career had been taking off recently. With NSYNC on hiatus and he had a lot of free time, he had decided to launch his own solo career. It was tremendously successful, and he was gaining a whole new fan base. The music was a little bit “dirtier” than usual, but JC really didn’t mind that.
Brittany had inspired him to write a few love songs on the album, and she was really amazed by them.
He remembered the first time he played one of them for her.

*~ Begin Flashback ~*

JC and Brittany were sitting in the studio, when JC said, “Brit, I have something to play for you”
“A new song?” Brittany asked, raising her eyebrow.
“Yep, but I think you’ll love this one.” JC turned to the stereo and switched it on.
As Brittany listened to it, JC could see a big smile on her face.
After it was over, Brittany looked over at him and said, “Did I inspire you to write that?”
JC nodded. “There are a few of them you inspired me on. You’re a good inspiration.”
Brittany blushed. “You’re such a sweetheart, Josh”
“Hey, I can’t help it when I’m in love” JC kissed Brittany’s cheek.
Brittany smiled.

JC looked down at his hands. “I wonder what the hell Brittany wants to talk about with me. I haven’t really done anything to make her want to leave recently.”
Brittany then opened the door. JC was so nervous; he could barely look at her. “Hey Josh”
“Hey, come sit down”
Brittany sat down and JC asked her, “So what it is you wanted to talk to me about?”
Brittany sighed. “It’s very important, but I have no idea how to say this.”
“What is about?” JC asked.
“It’s about your career, but it’s not your music. I still support completely with that. It’s something else having to do with it.”
JC breathed a sigh of relief. Brittany had always supported his career musically, so that was a good sign that she hadn’t all of a sudden changed her mind on that.
“Then, what is it?” JC had a funny feeling of what was to come.
“Well, I’m just afraid. Of losing you….” Brittany looked down at her hands.
JC was slightly confused. “Lose me? What do you mean, lose me?”
Brittany looked at him. “It’s just… I’m concerned you’re gonna stray on me. With you being surrounded by all these other women, I’m afraid you’ll all of a sudden like one of them and hook up with one of them.”
“Brit, the dancers and all that, it’s required in the job I do. Its just part of my job. They don’t really mean anything on the level I am on with you”
“I know that” Brittany said “But my best friend Jenna said she saw an article saying that you were seen at an L.A. club with some other chick”
“Bull[crap]” JC said. “She probably saw it in a tabloid.”
“No she didn’t. She said she saw it in “People”. There wasn’t a pic, but she saw it all right. ” Brittany insisted.
“Damn” JC thought. “They must’ve saw me with the nasty chick who was trying to hook up with me.” How was he gonna explain himself now?
“Well” JC said, “I was with another woman, but it’s not what you think.”
The look in Brittany’s eyes was looking a little bit angry, but she said “Ok”
“Well, I was at the club, ready to relax and have a good time. Well, this chick comes up to me and asks me if I wanna hook up with her. I politely say no, but she wouldn’t leave me alone. She never got what she wanted that whole night.”
“Oh” Brittany said in a really flat tone.
JC took her hand. “Please, baby, don’t be mad at me.”
Brittany looked into his blue eyes. “I really dunno, Josh. I mean, I know the truth, but I’m still not sure if I should stay with you.”
“You knew that it was gonna be like this from the beginning, didn’t you?” JC asked her.
Brittany nodded.
“Then, why are you doubting it now?”
Brittany shrugged. “I don’t know. I just… do for some reason.” She looked back at him. “I’ll tell you what, just give me a few days to think this over and I’ll tell you if I want to be with you anymore or not.”
JC really didn’t want to do that, but he said, “OK, whatever you want, Brit.”
Brittany stood and left the room.

As JC watched her leave, he just had a feeling that he had just blown their relationship. He knew she would leave him. Even though he wasn’t technically cheating on her, he knew Brittany didn’t like him to be with any other woman that was a friend or family member.
JC flopped back on the bed. “Oh god, what the hell am I gonna do?”

*~ The next morning ~*

JC walked down to have some breakfast with Lance, since he happened to be in town.
“Morning, Lance” JC said.
“Morning” Lance paused. “So, how was the talk with Brit last night?”
JC sighed. “Well, I told her what happened in L.A., and she said she needed a few days to think this over. I didn’t want to, but I did. I don’t see why she would need that, though.”
Lance nodded. “I agree with you totally. I mean, you two love each other so much, you have a three year history, and you weren’t cheating on her with that other chick.”
“I know….” JC said “But I think she doesn’t believe me.”
“She has no reason to not believe you, but…If that’s what she wants to believe that, that’s her choice” Lance said.

Later, JC decided to go take a walk, just to clear his head a little bit. “Oh man” He thought. “I dunno what I would do if Brittany left. I love her too much.”
He remembered the first time he had met her. They happened to be in the same café and JC sat down at the table Brittany was sitting at and introduced himself to her. She had smiled at him and they made a little small talk.
After 2 hours, JC had invited her to take a walk with him so they could get to know each other even better. Brittany agreed, since she was enjoying the talking as much as JC did.
He asked her about herself and Brittany told him that her name was Brittany Leigh Thompson and she was 20. (She’s 23 now) She was born in Boston to an alcoholic father and a mother who smoked pot. At 5, her favorite aunt and uncle took her from the abuse that her parents gave her and she lived with them in Charlotte, North Carolina till she was 18. She was now going to college in Orlando and living a happy life.
JC had told her all about him and all of his history and by that time, they walked around the park and Brittany had to get back to her dorm. JC had given her his cell number and she did the same for him.
Three years later, they were still going strong.

JC sighed. He wished their relationship could be like when it was when they first met. They had fought a little too much recently, and he felt that it wasn’t really the same as it was.

He remembered the first time he had taken her to their favorite spot.

*~ Begin Flashback ~*

There was this cliff at the beach on the Florida coast, which always had a beautiful view, especially at sunset. JC had decided to take Brittany there for a sunset picnic one night when they had been dating for only 2 months.
JC wouldn’t tell her where they were going while they were driving there, only saying that it was a special place.
When they got there, JC and Brittany walked to the near edge and Brittany said “Wow this view really is beautiful, especially since it’s at sunset.”
JC smiled. “It’s been a special place, so I’d thought I’d share it with you”
Brittany looked him. “Does this mean I’m special to you?”
JC nodded. “What are you talking about, baby? You’ve been special to me ever since the day I first met you.” He kissed her cheek.
Brittany giggled.
“I love you, Brit” JC said.
“I love you, too”

*~End Flashback ~*

JC smiled. That was the first time he told her he loved her and really meant it.

JC still didn’t see why Brittany had to think it all over. But he knew it was part of her nature that if someone had hurt her, it took time for Brittany to think things over and trust the person again.
It was definitely like that when Brittany and her mom got into in huge fights. They had only gotten back into contact when she was 19, but when Brittany’s 21st birthday was near, her mom yelled at her and criticized her for everything.
JC remembered the night she’d called him crying so hard she couldn’t speak. JC did all he could do, by listening her vent and let her cry into the phone.
Since JC was away on tour at time, he couldn’t be by her side. But he always stopped to listen when she called to vent.
That lasted for about a month until Brittany got the courage to tell her mom off and she vowed to never talk to her mom again.

JC then tried to figure out what may have triggered the fights they had been having the last few months. He knew there was a time when they’d attended at a friend’s house and one of his friend’s girlfriends, Lizzi, was playfully flirting with him because that was part of her personality. Brittany had gotten upset by that but JC had re[arse]ured her it was nothing. If that incident still had affect on her, JC didn’t know.

All he knew was he needed to know if Brittany still wanted to stay with him and if she still loved him.

*~ A few days later ~*

A few days went by and Brittany still hadn’t shown. JC was beginning to worry if she would come back at all. He was getting really antsy and convinced that she didn’t love him anymore.

He was sitting alone in his hotel when Brittany opened the door. The same scenario as it was a few days ago.
“It’s about time” JC said. “I was wondering if you would ever came back to tell me your decision at all.”
Brittany sighed, sitting next to him. “That’s because I need to think a lot and think of all the pros and cons of each way I could go. I also sought advice form someone, even though it wasn’t from my mom, since I still hate her.”
“Come on Brit, spit it out” JC thought. “Enough talking, let’s get this over with”
“So, I decided that I love you too much to let the aspect of your job get in the way of our relationship”
JC’s jaw almost dropped wide open. “What? After almost cheating on you, you forgive me?” He thought.
“Wow, I’m surprised. I thought I had blown our relationship.” JC said.
“Well, I admit I was mad when I walked out of your room the other day, but I knew we had to stay together, because look at us. We have so much history, so much love, so much… everything. We have nothing to lose, Josh. She paused. “So, do you agree to this?”
JC nodded. “Definitely” He paused. “So, can we kiss now?”
Brittany shook her head. “I swear, you’re too much.” They leaned in and shared a sweet kiss. It was so magical and JC knew the old chemistry between them was there.
They pulled away and JC looked at Brittany. “What did I do to deserve a girl like her?”
“I love you, Britters.”
Brittany smiled. That was JC’s affectionate nickname for her. “I love you, too, Jace.”

At that moment, the both of them knew it would be ok. Whatever the future held, they didn’t know, both in their lives and in their relationship, but right then, it was all perfect.
