All Leah Jackson wanted for Christmas was to see her boyfriend of 7 years, Jeff Timmons. But she knew that would not be happening. She knew it when he called her and said that he’d be over in Europe somewhere for the holidays. She knew that she wouldn’t be coming home. It tore her apart. Leah missed him dearly. She longed for him to hold her in his arms and call her his. She longed for a kiss under the missile toe like they did when they were only dating six months. Leah had gone through hard times this past year, and wante4d to see Jeff. But she knew that she couldn’t. She knew how mad her family would be if she was not at her parents house for Christmas. Leah had to do something. She decided to call up Kelley and ask her what to do. “Hey Kelley. I was wondering if you knew what I should do. I dearly miss Jeff and long for him to hold me and kiss me. What should I do? My parents would be pissed at me if I didn’t show up at their house on Christmas Eve. Even though Matt and Craig are not going to be there. That makes absolutely no sense to me why I have to be there. I think that I should be able to do whatever I want. Why can’t we postpone Christmas, or have ours at an earlier date where everyone can be there? I need to see Jeff. I’m demanding to see him. I miss him. I’ve been lonely for the past 5 months, and this would be the only time for me to go and see him. If you know what I’m getting at. I’m not scheduled to go on tour with BSB for a while, so I think that it’d be a good idea for me to go and see him.†Leah said. She was a back up dancer for the Backstreet Boys.
“Leah, go and see him! I’m telling you, your parents will let you go and see him if you tell them why and tell them that your old enough to make your own decisions. Your 26 Leah. 26! You don’t need your parents ruling you at 26!! Go against them, tell them that you got a ticket to go see Jeff for Christmas in Europe and go against them. You’ve been miserable Leah. You really need to go and see him!! I’m going out to see my husband. I’ll be out there for a long time. Come with me. Tell them that you have no choice on going. Tell them that if you don’t go that you will loose Jeff. Show them how much you miss him by showing them your home phone bill!! Now that’s crazy!! Its expensive!! When was the last time that you actually saw Jeff? June?!?! Its not December and you are obviously miserable. You miss him and need to be with him!! The guys all said that Jeff misses you and really wants you out by him. In fact I have a ticket for you sitting on my kitchen table. Leah, you have to come with Michelle, Laura and I! It would mean a lot to Jeff! Don’t you want to maintain a relationship with the man? He really does love you, ya know. So work on your parents. Say that your doing what’s right and are going to go see your boyfriend, future husband, in Europe, for Christmas. There is no turning around Leah. You are boarding that plane with us in two weeks. Leah, what do you say? Are you game for coming with us, or are you chickening out and going to stay back because of what mommy and daddy want you to do?†Kelley said.
“I’m going to go and email them that I will not be home for Christmas. How long will we be gone? I need to go and tell the guys that I’m going to Europe for Christmas.†Leah said.
“A month. A month well worth it.†Leah smiled. A month with the man of her love life. A man that she was destined to have children with after they were married. A man that she thought that she was going to loose. A man that she never in her entire life thought that she’d be with.
“Oh man, I’m so going! I need a break.†Leah said as they both laughed. They hung up the phone. She then went and emailed her parents. To her knowledge, they understood completely. Her family was having Christmas this Saturday at 5 p.m. She was happy. Leah then went down to BSB’s dance studio and told them. They completely understood and told her to have a great time.
Two weeks quickly p[arse]ed. Leah’s alarm went off at 2:30 AM. She wanted to throw her alarm clock. Then she remembered why it was going off. She got up and showered. She smiled. In two and a half hours she would be boarding a plane to go and see Jeff. She smiled. At 3 AM, Michelle’s brother picked her up. They were all in the SUV on their way to the airport. “Someone looks a little tired.†Brandon, Michelle’s brother said,
“My roommate’s 6 month old would not stop crying all night and Natalie was getting busy. Even when I was getting my things ready just now. I took all my valuable things and put them at my parents house. Even my cat and dog. I don’t trust her with the animals. Sad, but true.†Leah said.
“That’s horrible. Hopefully you’ll sleep on your 9 hour flight.†Brandon said.
“Oh I will. I’ve got my pillow and I’ll sleep.†Leah said.
Before they knew it, they were on the plane taking off. “Leah’s excited, aren’t you Leah?†Laura asked.
“Sure am! Did you girls bring your presents for Drew, Nick, and Justin?†Leah asked. They had done the shopping for the guys the other day.
“Sure did. Drew will be happy.†Laura said.
“Uh huh, Justin will be happy.†Michelle said.
“Sure thing. Nick said that if I didn’t have anything for him that he was going to put me on a plane back to California right away.†Kelley said. At that point they all laughed.
“I’d shoot Justin if he did that.†Kelley said.
“I’d knee Nick in the balls first, then shoot him.†Kelley said. They were all in tears laughing. Soon the girls were all asleep and had no clue where they were.
Within two hours of waking up, the girls landed in Europe. Leah was going to finally see Jeff!! She was so excited. She waited her turn for the girls to go out of the row and then she went. She was the last one out of the terminal. She laid her eyes on him. She quickly had tears in her eyes. “Leah Jackson, why has it been so long?†He asked as she cried into his shoulder. “Don’t cry baby! Your with me now! Dry those tears.†He said as he dried her tears.
“I’ve missed you so much Jeffy. You don’t understand.†Leah said as they walked to the baggage claim.
“How was your flight girls?†Justin asked.
“Long. Really, really long.†Kelley said.
“We all slept.†Michelle said.
“Leah was the first one out.†Laura said as they all laughed.
“Why?†Drew asked.
“I had a screaming baby all night, and my roommate did not want to stop doing the man of her dreams. The man in my house right now is not the father of Olyvia, I can tell you that right now. Different male voice. Wait, no, I’ve never even met this man.†Leah said. By this point they were all in tears from laughing so hard.
“Do we have a skank in the house?†Nick asked.
“Sure do. She was surprised when she found out that she was pregnant!! When your showing and then find out your pregnant, wouldn’t you think there’s something up?†Leah asked.
“Um, yes! She didn’t think that she was pregnant?†Jeff asked.
“Nope. She thought that I was, and I wasn’t.†Leah said. It was hurting for them to laugh at this point. They had all the girls luggage now and went outside.
“You got us a limo?!?!?!†Laura asked.
“Sure did! Hop in!†Drew said.
“You girls didn’t even dress up for us?!?! We haven’t seen you in a long time and this is how you dress?!?!†Nick asked, as the guys smiled at the girls.
“Hey, at 2:30 AM with a baby screaming in your house, you don’t want to dress up to catch a 9 hour flight!†Leah said. They were soon at their hotel.
