My coworker has just been diagnosed with it today and I'm soo nervous. She's our receptionist here at the office, and everyone is in her area quite often, answering phones even.

I'm soo nervous.

Oh no. I hope she gets better and no one is diagnosed with it. Are they testing everyone in the office?

They're not testing anyone, you're on your own. She got sick yesterday afternoon (suddenly), took today off to go to the doctor and that's when she was diagnosed.

Am I overreacting?

No. It's normal to be nervous. If you feel any symptoms just get checked to calm your fears. Have you been feeling any symptoms?

I think the news sites have the list of symptoms and precautions you can take which are the same as any flu.

Is it for certain the H1N1. Where we live, all they are doing is testing for the Type A flu virus since the H1N1 is a strain of Type A. They then just treat it for the swine "assuming" that is what it is, but the actual test for it is quite expensive and insurance companies are not really paying for it.

Good Luck!

It also takes 7 days for test results to come in. So if she was told that she had it in one day then she probly dosent have it. I think they are just sayin that it is! I wouldn't worry. The swine is the same as any other flu. I work in the school district and we had to be schooled on this and the sad thin is that its no different than anyother flu with the exception that it seems to hit young adults more than the elderly cause they were exposed along time ago when it first happened.
