Help figuring out a song

This is a long shot but thought it might be worth trying.

A friend of mine has been bugging me non-stop about this song she heard around the end of 2008 (winter) and she can't remember wht it was called. The song is sung by a female artist with a raspy voice. The lyrics of the song contain the words high school love and the song is a ballad.

Any guesses on what it might be? She heard it on satellite radio but it was likely a song played on public radio as well. I know it is not a lot to go on but that is all I have!

I need to find this song so she'll stop bugging me! lol.

Probably pop/rock. It was almost like a power ballad I think

There's a site somewhere that lets you put in the lyrics and it shows you the songs. I forgot what it was though. I'll try to find it later.

Ok I've googled like 5 more things and still can't find nothing. It makes me mad to, most of the time I'm really good with finding songs. lol

^ Ya, I just did. The only thing is she can only remember words and can't even remember one single line! I'll ask her again and use lyrics.com again once she figures out at least part of one line. This is a girl who is not so much into music. If it were me, I would remember at least one line. There is always a line in a song that grabs you..unfortunately she doesn't remember it.
