Devon did not know she was pregnant. Tuesday she gave birth to a baby girl Olivia Hope Garrens. She was born Tuesday night via c-sectiion. Olivia is a premature baby. Can you please pray for Derek, Dev, & Olivia.

just curious - how premature was the little one?
6.5 months the doctor says she far more developed than most babies that age or they might have just gotten the date wrong. devon had no cravings or significant weight gain

well she is really strong id remember how far along the doctor says she is in development but way beyond what she is supposed to be. thanks rae.

awww....well congrats and you will be in my prayers...It reminds me of this show on tv my step-mom watches...idk what channel it's on but I think its actually called "I didn't know I was pregnant"

I'm sorry but I agree with Rae, theres no way a 2 pound baby looks that big.

she isn't. they got the weight wrong & how far along she is. she is 4.5 months early and as of today 5 lbs. My OBYGN just called & said they mixed up her info w/ another baby.

you've got some nerve trying to say that they would "joke" about something like this.i don't mean to insult you, but what kinda people would joke about this. The doctor mixed up the info at the hospital. So, they were shocked by that too. Olivia is healthier than normal babies at her guestation & the shots r pretty close up., So Thank you can we just close this thread before we get into an argument.

Yes well I'm at home, Olivia will stay at the hospital for a little while longer to make sure she's ok. I'm not trying to play a "joke on people on the internet. Why would I. I'm bringing her home in six weeks. I'm sorry, but I'm not some kind of person that would joke about this. I'd appreciate if you wouldn't make negative comments or accusation about me, Derek or my daughter.

Sorry - I'm not buying it.
Particularly considering you had NO KNOWLEDGE of being preggo so therefore NO Prenatal care - there is NO WAY that you could give birth to a baby who weighs in at 5 pounds a few days after being born. MOST weight of an infant is gained in the last trimester (and while 5 is a little low - most babes run 6 or 7 pounds at birth)
There is NO WAY a baby born at 26 weeks (4-1/2 months early) wouldn't be connected to millions of tubes OR that s/he would be bottle fed. Facts about how a baby develops PROVE that. That's why they try to get mom's of a known multiple pregnancy to at least 30 weeks if not 32 weeks (6 weeks longer than you were) to make sure the lungs can be more fully developed.
The skin of preemies is NOT the skin of a 'healthy newborn' it is very translucent and thin - and those pix you have posted - the babes have healthy skin
I will give you credit for at least saying she wouldn't be coming home for about 6 weeks (although actually - it would probably be more like 10 to 12 weeks since they tend to d/c preemies about their actual due dates)
