Moving On

I know I said I'd never write another N&V fanfic, but this isn't about N&V together or maybe it will be you'll have to read it & find out :D:p

It has been over seven years since Nick & Vanessa broke up. They have both moved on. Nick has moved back to Ohio. He now works as a record producer. He married a nice girl. His first girlfriend Rachael became his second wife. The couple now has four kids Colin, AJ (Andrew John), Samantha, & Rebeka. Vanessa has moved on with Matt Leinart. Matt has been traded to the Miami. They live in Miami with their three kids. Aaron, Vinny, & their daughter Chrissy (Christina). Matt's first son Cole comes to visit him on weekends & holidays while living in California with his mom Brynn. Cole & Vanessa have developed a nice relationship so much so that he calls her Momma Nessa.

In Miami

Matt & the boys are playing football outside in their huge backyard while Vanessa is feeding baby Chrissy in a lawn chair & watching them.

Matt: "Ok guys time to hit the showers & take a nap."

Aaron: "Aw! do we have to?"

Vinny: "Yeah please."

Vanessa: "Oh Daddy's right. It's nap time."

Cole: "Please just one more game Momma Nessa."

Matt: "Oh don't you start. C'mon you have to get ready before your mom comes."

Cole: "Yes sir."

Cole gets ready to go while the two younger boys take a nap. Vanessa finishes giving Chrissy her bottle.

Vanessa: "Good Job sweetie." as she gives Chrissy a kiss.

Matt: "And it's your nap time too Missy Chrissy. You know what Daddy did in practice today. He tooked the football & he kissed it." as he blows & kisses Chrissy's belly & she giggles.

Vanessa: "Alright you two. Enough play time. It's time for your nap."

Matt: "Well then maybe Momma & Daddy can have their play time later."

Vanessa giggles & says: "We'll see."

They tuck Chrissy in & decides to play football while the kids are asleep.

Matt: "Go long!"

Vanessa runs & catches the ball.

Vanessa: "You think can get it. You want it. C'mon Hon I used to play ball with my brother."

Matt doesn't really tackle her, but her gently pins her on the ground. They kiss each other when he's on top of her.

Matt: "I guess you win."

He sweeps her off her feet & carries her inside.

Vanessa works for ESPN. There is a football game against the Cincinnati Bengals & the Miami Dolphins. The kids are at their Grandpa Vince & Grandma Donna since they live close by. At the start of the game Vanessa gives Matt a pep talk.

Vanessa: "You'll do great. Just stay focused Baby." as she gives him a kiss on the cheek.

Matt: "I know thanks Babe. C'mon."

Matt carries Vanessa on his shoulders as they're stepping out on the field.

Vanessa: "Alright! Alright! How many of y'all are rooting for the Bengals?!"

Since it's a game in Florida most of the fans boo the Bengals.

Vanessa: "How many of you guys are rooting for the Dolphins?! (They cheer). Then let's play some football!"

They play the game & it has its up & downs, but eventually Matt scores the winning touchdown.

Matt: "One more win & we're going to the super bowl."

All the kids: "Daddy you were awesome."

Matt: "Thanks guys." as he gives 'em all hugs.

Vanessa has to do a short interview with the team & Matt.

Vanessa: "So the Dolphins are just one win away from the super bowl. How do you feel about the Mr. Leinart?"

Matt: "I feel when we play our hearts & soul out we'll definitely have a shot. Mrs. Leinart. Now I think it's time we celebrate.

Matt & Vanessa holds hands behind their backs. She gently rubs his back.

Matt: "And that's our show guys. Now if you'll excuse me. Let's go Babe" He picks up Vanessa, puts her over his shoulder & grabs her backside.

Vanessa giggles: "I'm Vanessa Joy Leinart signing off with a great Miami qb & a nice tight end. Honey"

Aaron: "Daddy's being silly."

Vinny: "Yeah"

Chrissy giggles & covers her eyes.

The kids are wearing Miami Dolphins Leinart jersies even Chrissy is wearing a Dolphins pink baby jersey. Vanessa makes Matt's favorite dinner & they then celebrate later after the kids are asleep.

Matt & Vanessa have both gotten off work. They are picking up the kids from school together. The twin boys Aaron & Vinny are now 7 years old & are in the second grade. Their younger sister Chrissy just turned 4 & is in preschool. As soon as the bell rings the boys are the first ones out. Then comes Chrissy.

Aaron says excitedly: "Dad. Dad. I'm the quarterback for the football team."

Vinny just as ethusiastically: "And I'm the wide receiver."

Matt: "Alright. Way to go keeping the Leinart tradition alive."

Vanessa: "That's great guys now where's Chrissy."

Chrissy: "Here I am Momma." as Vanessa gives her a big hug & a kiss on the forehead

Vanessa: "Hey Little ladybug."

Matt jokingly says: "Aw! What you don't say hi to your own daddy?"

Chrissy: "Aw! Sorry Daddy-kins. Hello."

Matt: "Hi Pumpkin." as he picks up & spins her in his arms.

Darian (a boy in 1st grade): "Bye Christina."

Aaron: "Christina. Only Momma & Daddy call you Christina."

Vinny: "Who's that guy?"

Chrissy: "Bye Darian."

Matt: "Woah. Woah. Who's Darian. First of all young lady. You're too young to date. Secondly Is it me or is he a little too tall to be in preschool?"

Chrissy: "Oh Daddy. We're not dating. And He's in 1st grade. I met him at lunch."

Matt: "Well Nessa darling I'm gonna have a talk with him. Chrissy is my only daughter."

Vanessa: "Oh Matt Sweetheart. Don't interfere with our daughter friendship. Besides I'm 3 years older than you." as she gives him a kiss on the lips.

All the kids: "Ew!"

Matt & Vanessa laugh. Then everyone heads in the family SUV.

Matt, Vanessa, & the family have to take a trip to Cincinnati, Ohio. Vanessa has to conduct an interview with former Reds player & MLB Hall of famer Johnny Bench for work. Matt will be Mr. Mom & make sure the kids are taken care of, behave, & have fun.

Matt: "Kids are you gonna all be on your best behavior when Momma's at work?"

All the kids: "Yes Dad."

Vanessa: "Alright I put notes for where everything is & how to do it. Kids have fun, but behave. I should get back before dinner. I love you." as she gives all the kids kisses on the cheek.

Matt slyly says: "Vanessa Joy aren't you forgetting something?"

Vanessa worriedly says: "Matthew Stephen What did I forget?"

Matt: "This Have a good day at work." as he takes her in his arms & gives a big kiss on the lips.

Vanessa interviews Johnny Bench while Matt is outside with the kids at the pool.

Aaron: "Dad. Watch me. Cannonball!"

Vinny: "Whoo hoo!"

Matt: "Nice job boys."

Chrissy: "Daddy can I take my floaties off?"

Matt: "Ok if you think you're ready to swim on your own."

Chrissy learns to swim without for her floaties for a few seconds at least.

After Matt & the kids play in the pool. They have lunch. Then they go see Vanessa at work. She runs into Nick.

Nick: "Vanessa is that you?"

Vanessa: "Yes Hi Nick. This is must be Rachael & your kids."

Rachael: "Hello." as she shakes Vanessa's hand

AJ: "Mom is it time for dinner?"

Rachael: "Yeah let's go."

Nick: "I'll be there in a sec Babe."

Vanessa: "How long's it been?"

Nick: "11 years. You look good. It was nice to see you."

Vanessa: "Yeah you too." as they give each other a long hug Matt sees them.

Nick: "Bye."

Matt looks jealous & walks away.

Vanessa: "Matt wait."

Matt: "We'll talk about this when we get home not in front of the kids."

Vanessa: "Ok"

They get home, have dinner, tuck the kids in, & Matt & Vanessa have a conversation about what happened

Vanessa: "Matt that wasn't what it looked like."

Matt: "Oh really Vanessa because it looked to me like my wife in the arms of her ex-boyfriend."

Vanessa: "We were just giving each other a hug goodbye."

Matt: "Goodbye? So how long did you two talk? What did you talk about? Getting back together?

Vanessa: "No. We didn't talk long & it was just a 'how life's going?' kinda thing. I would never do anything to hurt you. I'm your wife & the mother to 3 of your kids."

Matt: "Yes I know that, but I also know how much you loved Nick."

Vanessa: "Loved being the operative word as in the past. Yes I did love him, but know that I have the greatest, sexiest, most wonderful & caring man who gave me three wonderful kids & an equally wonderful stepson. I'm in love with him with all my heart & soul."

She holds him in her arms & rests her body close to him.

Matt softly asks: "Oh & who's that guy?"

Vanessa laughs & says: "You know who. Now shut up & kiss me already."

Matt: "Alright. What do you say? Tomorrow just you & me. I'll make your favorite dinner & we can just spend the night just the two of us?"

Vanessa: "What about the kids?"

Matt: "My mom offered to watch them."

Vanessa: "Alright."

Grandma Linda picks up all the kids at 6 o'clock.

Linda: "Ok guys ready to go?

All the kids: "Yes Granny."

Matt: "Thanks Mom."

Vanessa: "Yeah Thanks Mom. Be good guys bye. Love you."

All the kids: "Love you too." as the kids give Matt & Vanessa hugs & kisses goodbye.

Matt: "I'm gonna get ready."

Vanessa: "Me too."

Vanessa puts on the gray strapless dress that Matt likes to see her in with red high heels the gold locket he gave her, & diamond earring. Matt coordinates with her in a gray suit & red tie. They help each other cook dinner.

Matt: "I'll make the spaghetti."

Vanessa: "Then I'll toss the salad & bake the garlic bread."

Matt: "Here Babe try this." as he feed her a bite of spaghetti

Vanessa: "Yum Hon. Oh that's perfect. I love a man that can cook."

Matt: "Well you know what they say a way to a person's heart is through their stomach."

They rinse the pots & pans before they wash them so the stains don't set in.

Vanessa: "Here I've got the skillet."

Matt: "Let me help." as Matt wraps his arms around & he kisses the back of her neck. Vanessa takes his hand.

Vanessa: Oh Matt. Let's have dinner first Sweetheart."

Matt: "Alright darling." as he pulls out a chair for her & pours her a glass of red wine.

Matt set up a nice table with candles, her favorite orchids, & dim lighing. They talk & tell jokes to each other for hours.

Vanessa: "This is so romantic. Thank you Matt."

Matt: "You're welcome. May I have this dance?" as he takes her hand

Vanessa: "Why of course."

They slow dance to their song "Time After Time". After Matt & Vanessa sit back down. He caresses her leg & she giggles.

Matt: "Come here. Sit with me."

Vanessa sits on his lap. Matt holds in his arms. They look into each others eyes. She caresses his cheek. Then he runs his finger through her hair. They start passionately kissing each other. They also can't keep their hands off other.

Vanessa sighs & says: "Matt"

Matt happily says: "What Nessa? Is it time to go upstairs yet?"

Vanessa giggles: "Aright"

Matt excitedly says: "Yes."

Matt carries her over shoulder. Vanessa grabs his backside.

Vanessa: "I love it when you sweep me off my feet."

Matt: "I know."

They go upstairs & make love to each other. Then they call check on the kids before they go to sleep. The next morning...

Matt: "I love waking up to you like this with you in my arms Honey even if you snore" (laughs)

Vanessa: "Mmm me too Baby even if you talk in your sleep." (laughs)

They get dressed & make breakfast. Then the kids come.

Matt & Vanessa are making the kids' breakfasts. Matt looks at Chrissy. He remembers when she was born & throughout Vanessa's pregnancy. Chrissy looks just as pretty as her mother. She has tan skin, straight raven black hair, big brown eyes, & even Vanessa's dimples. Chrissy may look like her mother, but has more of her father's personality.

Matt thinking: "I remember when the kids used to be so small & when my only daughter was born"

FLASHBACK

Vanessa: "Matt I have something to tell you. Sit down."

Matt: "Ok. What is it?"

Vanessa: "I'm pregnant again."

Matt: "Really? Wow. I'll get started on the nursery."

Matt takes out the crib, stroller, & toys.

5 months later

Dr.: "Everything wonderful although you must get more sleep Mrs. Leinart Looks like you got pregnant on Valentine's day. You're due November 21st. Would you like to know the gender of the baby?"

Matt & Vanessa: "Yes."

Dr.: "There's no indication of a male organ so you're having a baby girl."

Vanessa: "Oh my gosh we're finally having a daughter."

Matt: "Thanks doc."

2 months later

Vinny: "Is that our sister?" as he caresses Vanessa's belly.

Vanessa: "Yes now go pick out a book to read before bed."

Aaron: "Alright. Good night baby Christina." as he gives her a kiss

Vanessa reads them a story. Matt comes home while Vanessa is relaxing in bed reading a book.

Matt: "Hi Nessa Sorry I couldn't help with the boys." as he gives her a kiss

Vanessa: "Is ok. I understand practice ran long. How are you?"

Matt: "My shoulders are sore & how are my two favorite girls. Hi Baby it's Daddy." he says to Vanessa's belly.

Vanessa sits on Matt's lap. He rubs her feet while Vanessa rubs his back.

Vanessa In Labor

She gives an excruciatingly painful natural birth.

Dr.: "Ready Vanessa Two more pushes."

Vanessa: "Ok Oww! Matt Honey I need you."

Matt: "I'm right here. Ow! my hand Baby."

Vanessa: "Well excuse me I'm just giving birth to our daughter would you rather feel that!"

Matt: "No."

The doctor spanks the baby & the baby cries

Matt & Vanessa: "I love you." as they give each other a kiss.
