Hi,
Has anyone been able to confirm if NICK has signed with JIVE RECORDS? I still have not been able to confirm it.

If you read the article I posted from MTV News ("Sucks" to be Nick posted in the News Section - http://nickfanatic.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1529) - it 'sort of' mentions that idea...
Lachey: I learned a lot more in hindsight, obviously, than I did at the time. Most importantly, this is the kind of mentality I always try to have, but if I fail, I want to fail on my terms. I want to lose doing what I wanted to do. I don't want to lose doing what other people wanted me to do, or compromising the situation. So what I'm trying to do now is find an opportunity to work with a label and work with a group of people who are gonna support me for doing what I want to do and are gonna see the project through from start to finish. so to me at least - it sounds like he hasn't signed with anyone yet, but he's still looking for that company that will let him do (with label backing) what Jeff Timmons did on his own (and then secured label support for a major re-release)
*oh, and Barb, it may be more helpful to people if you put something besides "Nick" on the subject line of your posts - I know you put more of topic on the second line - but I know that I usually go through the topics only looking at the top/bold subject line - so if there's something more than "nick" there - i'll be a little quicker to go into it. Not saying you have to - just a small suggestion :) *
I just read in the mew us magazine that came out today that NICK is in negotiations with JIVE RECORDS and that he might be doing his own realaity show on mtv about the music business or making his new cd-something like that.
Its about time we start seeing NICK without jessica

I think the whole "creating an album" reality series is more what Nick was expecting from Newlyweds - so if he can get them to do it - good for him...that is what I'd really enjoy seeing - the behind the scenes recording stuff, instead of the 'personal time'.
Personally - I don't see Jive as being that different from Uni though - look at Nick Carter - he was screwed over by them - while they shoved Timberlake to the top. Lachey will just be the 3rd level boybander-gone-solo over there imo. (and I hate the term boybander in reference to 98 Degrees - but it is the way he's generally perceived in the business).
I read in a usa today in a phone interview that Nick and Jessica did from her family in Waco Texas on Thanksgiving Day that Nick is in the process of doing his next cd and that there will be a reality show on in February? airing on MTV about.
I have not heard about him signing with anyone yet.
Has anyone else heard this info?

Everything I've heard - is he's still working on getting a deal with a label.
Not sure what studio it is - but there are quite a few independent studios that you just rent for so long and that's probably what he's doing.
hmmm...makes you wonder how much of this new album he already has recorded.
Yea,I hope NICKS new label JIVE does him right and that his show on MTV does as good for him as it did for Ashelee.

I heard that Nick had signed up with Jive....And I hope that Jive records really goes out there and promotes his new CD!! :P
I know his 1st one SoulO came in to Australia without any promotion @ all....I was lucky to come across it when I was looking for a CD :mellow:
But I can't WAIT for his new one to come out soon!!! :D

in June? I hope thats not the same as JESSICAS.

I'll have to rewatch that part. I think he said sometime in spring, but not an actual month.
i don't remember an actual time frame being mentioned...

well if anyone figures it out let me know. i may have been avoiding nick lately, but i would still love to support his music career. i still can't resist the sound of that man's voice lol.
I wish Jive Records and MTV would get there butts in gear and get NICKS CD AND REALITY SHOW going. We have been waiting so patiently. I cant wait to see his hot bod again. Does any one know if he was at the ALL STAR GAME last night or not?

Last I heard (on Tour of Duty) it's due early fall - soooooo we should probably hear more about it next month (provided the pimp-daddy who is the exec prod of the show actually helps get the dumb thing outta the planning room).
would it be asking too much for nick to do some sort of duet with his cute, younger bro? LOL! anyways, i hope we do get a new cd in the fall because i'm really excited about hearing what nick has been working on.

Nick's album and TV show are both due out around Valentine's Day. And Drew is his manager now.

as of the last report (which was drew's comment above) regarding Nick's - it's due around V-day - which would hit before Jessica's since hers is due late spring now (hahaha - due to piss poor reviews on teh songs Sony submitted for public 'review' LOL)

From what I've seen mentioned - yeah - the majority of the songs they submitted to various sources for public feedback (such as promosquad) got mostly negative feedback from the respondants - and in places it was a 'blind' review (as in - the name of the artist wasn't revealed - so it couldn't just be anti-jessica fans giving back feedback)

I was referring to negative opinions of JESSICA's new album which was originally scheduled to drop next tuesday(11/15) I think.
I haven't seen/heard anything about Lachey's album other than what Drew said - as in "Valentine's Day" release
