People magazine has an article in which they deny breaking up.

Here's the link

Thanks for the heads up - AJ

For me though - until after Newlyweds is completely done & over with - I'm not believing anything anyone says about that particular topic because a couple who has admitted to 'splitting up' would not draw an audience for the show. Minor disagreements/fights can draw viewers in - but no one wants to watch a show called "Newlyweds" about a couple who is in the middle of divorce proceedings.

I never said they didn't, Minnie. As I said - I won't believe ANYTHING ANYONE (media, Jess, Nick, their reps, etc) say about the marriage until after the show is over. However, usually stories like this will blow over relatively quickly (i.e. when Nick/Jess were having troubles this past spring - when the eppy where he was complaining about the football commercial thing - mentioned for maybe 2 weeks then dropped) - unless there is SOME SUBSTANCE to them.

I don't think they really care about this kind of press because after all, it is press for them. The lovey dovey stuff doesn't sell as well as articles of them breaking up.
Heck, Lindsey Lohan said so herself that she as well as other celebrities want to see themselves in those rags.
All of them read those rags, just like the average joe.
Look at the current rags, and when you see a piece that they've done on N/J's marital problems, it's followed with an advertisment for their holiday special.
