I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this forum and I will tell you why shortly, but first I wanted to share something.
Even though I don’t really post much on the board, I do make a point to come on a few times a week to view all the posts.
This past month, my family, which includes myself, my husband and my daughter, whose is 9 yrs old, lost people who were not only our neighbors, but close friends of ours as well in a horrible tragedy. I will not go into detail, but due to it being on national news, many people have read about it and have said some very hateful and cruel things on the internet.
To not only have to deal with the grief as well as the questions going through our minds that will never be answered, to see people be judgmental of someone they didn’t even know is, needless to say, very hard. ( I know it’s easy to judge someone you don’t know ( because, honestly, I have), but something like this really opens your eyes and makes you stop and think before you make nasty comments about a situation you really don’t know anything about.
Anyway, I’m kind of rambling, so basically I just wanted to say that even though I have never met any of you, (although, I hope to someday) I feel that in some ways you’re kind of like a family outside of my family, if that makes sense.
So I wanted thank everyone, especially Leslie, who keeps the site going. Thank you for giving me somewhere to go , even if just for a short time, where I can “get away” from everything and just have a sense of normalcy.
I wanted to also say please let your loved ones know that you are always there for them and to give them a big hug and tell them you love them, because you never know one day they may be here and the next be gone forever.
