LACHEY VIES FOR SIX MILLION DOLLAR ROLE



Now that JESSICA SIMPSON has landed a starring role in the movie version of THE DUKES OF HAZZARD, her husband NICK LACHEY is hoping to do the same - as THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN.

According to sources, the former 98 DEGREES star is in talks to take on the role made famous by LEE MAJORS in the 1970s.

An insider says, "You can't help but notice how much he looks like a young Lee Majors. He's a natural for the part."

Meanwhile, Simpson is currently spending more than two hours a day in the gym to perk up her buttocks for the role of hot pants fan DAISY DUKE in her movie, which will also star SEANN WILLIAM SCOTT and JOHNNY KNOXVILLE.

Hmmmmmm I could see Nick in that part physically (meaning - he's got the body for it) - I just don't know that I can see him doing a good job with the role...

Of course, I definitely don't see Jim Carey (if it's the actor I'm thinking of) playing that role either.

I want Nick to be successful, but I'd rather him build up his resume of acting, then jump into something like that.
I think he needs to be part of an ensemble, strong cast.
IMO, something like an ER, CSI. And, if you check out the Movie.Com website, Jim Carrey (Ace Ventura...) is going to play Steve Austin.

ok - that's the one I was thinking of - and I just can't see him in the part.

I can see what you're saying about Nick's acting resume, but then again - a lot of people who are successful in those kind of series can't make the jump to doing the big screen (and I do think Nick would rather work on the big screen than tv because it is a less 'demanding' gig - i.e. more down time because you can choose when you try for acting gigs with movies, but if you're in a series - you're pretty committed until the show gets cut or you leave.

I agree! I see no reason for a picture of Jessica to be in the story when the article is about Nick Lachey. Jessica name is not Lachey so that is another reason why they did not need her picture. Nick has tons of cute pictures of himself and any one of his own pictures would do him justice. I am getting sick and tired of Jessica mania. When does her 15mins of fame ends?

As for Nick, I had heard that he was up for the role earlier this year, of playing Steve Austin in the Six Million Dollar Man movie. I pray to God he lands the deal. Afterall, if Jessica can be in a major motion picture then so can Nick! Nick is the only one with talent in that family and he can put on a brilliant performance if given the opportunity. Go Nick, I am rooting for you to get the part.

i think they put it under jessica's news because the article talks more about her than nick even though it's supposed to be about him...lol

we all know if nick get this part in this show it's going too shoot down jessica show >P but we can't keep putting her down all the time, no matter what the picture say or even look like he's still nick's wife [hug] but we just have too stay cool for now. :popcorn:

He's still Nick's wife? Ummmmmm interesting - never heard ICKA referred to as a he before.

But as far as talking about her - I will NEVER stop until that dumb-blonde who has put the woman's movement back over 100 years is out of the public spotlight permenately. I don't care who she's married to - ANYONE who chooses a life in Hollywood(meaning entertainment industry) knows they are going to be discussed - and if they can't handle the comments on a message board - they need to get their [arse]es outta showbiz.

Yes - it mentions her, Kara - but to not have it on Nick's news page even though the title is LACHEY.... makes NO SENSE - and that's MORE what I was talking about. At least put it on both of their pages for pete's sake.

And I don't think it talks more about her - I think the mention is about even.

Um...There's a few posts here that can be taken as jealousy, if you go back and read through them. The only reason most people don't like Jessica is because they're jealous of her - for more ways than just her being with Nick. That's all... :D No big deal, really.

for the record i'm a jess fan :) but i also want to say that just because someone is not a jess fan does not mean they are jealous of her. that may be true in some instances, but it also could be that they just don't like her music.

Exactly right, Gidget - and I just love how if people say something against the 'dear' blonde one - the first reaction is "oh they're just jealous" - for whatever reason.

when I'm working with my kids we do read this board together and people do make mistakes in spelling just like any normal person :( so when I'm in a hurry yes I do get alot of misspell words :ugh: so just try to be a little more understanding. and what was to really be said is he's still jessica HUSBAND :laugh:
