Can't believe Britney got best Female video. I've always been a big Britney supporter and I'm glad she got it but she's had better videos that should have won.
But whatever. WOOT! Britney!
She looks awesome too. I hope she's getting her life back in order.

She seemed to be back to her old self which is great but I don't know why people would call that a "comeback". I expected a lot more. A little overrated!
MTV overhyped it. I was expecting a bit more than that. But I guess they kept saying she wasn't going to perform. For some reason I thought she'd do something...
Any now for Christina!!!! Woooooo!
ETA: Ok, I'm sorry but is Christina lip-synching? She's never lip synched ever and decided to start now? And I'm not trying to start anything but was she kinda channeling Britney in this performance. Hmmm, she's had better performances.

P!nk's performance was pretty good! I love her!
I liked Pinks intro! It was cool that she did it without wires or strings. So far her performance is pretty close to being the best. Christina was really good too.
The awards kinda suck this year. It's like they MTV couldn't find a bigger venue.
ETA: Holy crap, Britney won Best Pop Video! It's like MTV is feeling bad that they set her up for failure last year.

I totally agree!!! And I feel like she just rushed through what she said and ran off stage. I couldnt wait to see it and I was expecting SOOO MUCH MORE! It was great to see her tho.
She just won her 2nd award of the night! Her speech was pretty much the same as the first.
Watching these awards makes me feel old. First I have no idea who Tokyo Hotel are. And then I don't recognize most of the performers until they start singing and then I'm like, "ohhhh, that's who does that song."
MTV stopped being appealing so long ago. Lol.

Britney looked amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. I'm SO happy for her! Her speeches were really cute too - thanking God, her family, her boys and her fans! Sweet girl!
I'm thrilled she seems to be getting back to herself.
I am so Happy My Girl won..She so deserved this!! She looked so beautiful, and back to her old self! GO BRIT!!!

Thank you for saying that!! I feel the same way. I was going to say that last night but I was too embarrassed. I always considered myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to music. Last night, I had no idea! lol. I guess I don't know as much as I thought. But then again, as of lately, if the artists name isn't Nick Lachey, I really don't give a damn either! lol

I feel the same way...I only watch if Nick is on. I hope Britney can keep up the good work, and not go back. That would be a positive. The negative...keep politics out of places like that! Who was that looser anyway? I am getting old, but not stupid.

omg russell brand was AMAZING. for some reason, americans don't speak out about poilitics and he did. some people say it was inappropriate, but who we pick for president DOES affect the rest of the world. i'm not much of a britney fan, but i'm glad she got that bipolar under control.
The thing about Russel is that some of the things he was saying was a little over the top. I'm not saying that I disagree or agree with what he was trying to say. I can understand that he's a comedian, but there's always a line between funny and distasteful and he crossed that line at some points. And I happen to love Chris Rock and Dave Chapelle. There are ways to be political and funny and tasteful all at the same time. Russell Brand was also the guy who dressed up as Osama Bin Laden the day after 9/11.

dressing up as osama was genoius !!! don'y you realize that he stomped osama by doing it !!! osama wanted us to fear him, he wanted us to fear everyone around us. what russell brand did was to show osama didn't scare him, that he thought osama was a joke. that is what EVERYONE should of done. the only thing to fear is fear itself.
